A beautiful and convenient hotel in the heart of Naze

We stayed at Hotel Waistcoat Amami for four nights in between our eight-day trip to Amami Oshima. The hotel was comfortable, like a beautiful business hotel of about 10 stories in the center of Naze.
　The location is very good and the bus stop for the airport is in front of the hotel. We used to rent a car, but there is a big tower parking lot in the hotel right near the hotel, and guests can use it for free.
　Located in the center of Naze, I could choose any number of places to eat dinner, and there were many popular restaurants within a five-minute walk.

Bad.

We had to wait until we could enter the room and check in despite the time being agreed. No help to find an alternative solution, I had to be angry that there was an intervention. The rooms are carpeted and smell bad. The toilet was not working properly. The furniture is to be renovated. Definitely not recommended for a stay.

You can improve (a lot)

The island of Amami has a lush and wonderful nature, but the urban context appears rather “old-style”. Like this hotel. In this hotel there is certainly all the typically Japanese courtesy, respect for people, a breakfast with typical dishes, all appreciable. But the rooms unfortunately - at least in my experience - leave something to be desired. My single room was more than tiny: opening my suitcase I could no longer walk. But above all, as soon as I entered, I immediately smelled stagnant smoke (despite the room was no smoking) and closed, the cleanliness seemed to me to leave something to be desired. I tried to barely open the window to change the air but still after two hours that smell had not gone away. I spent only one night in this hotel, but I don't know if -returning to Amami - I would stay there again.

I had a two-day Reservation through a travel agency for a family trip, but it had become a day. It may have been a mistake by the travel agency, but the hotel was not responsive and kept me waiting in a small lobby for quite some time. There is no apology, it's like the hotel people don't know because the other side is bad
I was so disappointed that my family came to Amami to travel for fun.

A simple choice for accommodation in Amami. Business hotel style

A hotel in the center of Naze. Business hotel style, with fairly spacious rooms.
There is a convenience store that doubles as a souvenir shop nearby.
It's also close to downtown so you won't have any trouble finding something to eat or drink.
The airport access bus stop is also on the premises.
This hotel is very convenient in many ways.
There is a new wing of the same hotel nearby, and it seems you can use the large public bath there, but it's a hassle to go just to take a bath. This hotel does not have a large public bath.
Breakfast is buffet style from 6:30.
Not very regional. Just vinegared mozuku seaweed.
I think the contents are pretty typical for a business hotel buffet.
