Best Showa Resort in Cospa
A family of three with elementary school children stayed in a deluxe room in the South Wing.
Both the exterior and interior had the feel of an old-fashioned Resort dating from the Showa era, but if that doesn't bother you, it's a very good place to be.
The room was very spacious, with four beds and a sofa set, and we relaxed.
The windows were also large and open.
The house was well cleaned, but the furniture and other items were all out of date, making it a far cry from a Resort.
The on-site hot spring facility "Forest Water" is used for the bath. There were many small bathhouses inside and outside, and I enjoyed it.
However, it was quite crowded because they also offer day-trip baths, so it was not like you could relax very much.
The food was buffet and the selection was great, both for dinner and breakfast.
It's amazing to have all-you-can-eat crab and eel. However, aside from crabs, you shouldn't expect much eel flavor.
Besides crabs and eels, there were many other delicious dishes, and I couldn't try them all overnight. I don't think you'll get tired of staying overnight.
The Tsumagoi Resort's grounds offered a full range of activities, including horseback riding, treasure hunting, and kickboard rental, which the children loved.
It was a big site, so I rented a cart and went around and was right.
It's a great Resort for kids, but for adults it was a bit old-fashioned, with a hint of Showa.
However, the price was so low (it costs just under 30,000 yen for two meals for a family of three) that it is undisputedly five stars for this substantial meal.

I'm glad the slippers are mesh. The tub in the room bath is also large and good. The electronic kettle was easy to use. It's a little lonely with few customers, probably because it was off season.
You'd better find out if it's a busy season or an off season before you go.
I looked it up, and it's about 150,000 dollars a bed, and I was exhausted, and I thought, well, hotels are places that specialize in accommodation.

Archery
The archery staff (female) from 14:00 on August 12, 2024 is so kind to the children that even first grade girls can hit targets from the same distance as adults. He also took care of my injured arm and it was a very good response. Due to the high quality of the staff, we gave it a score of 5.

Unfortunately it was raining at the hotel in the forest and the hot springs had short opening hours.
This hotel is located on a very large site.
At the entrance gate, we received an explanation and a map of the facility, then headed to the check-in building. After checking in, we received our room key, tickets for Shinrin-no-Yu, dinner and breakfast tickets, etc. at the front desk, then drove our car to the hotel building where we were staying and entered our rooms.
Shinrin-no-Yu is open from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., so we decided to hurry over and checked the bus times. (There are 2-4 buses on the premises per hour.) We had just left. They said it was a few minutes on foot, so we looked outside and saw an arrow with a sign that said Shinrin-no-Yu. We decided to go. We walked down the corridor and down a few stairs and arrived. About 3 minutes? It was faster than waiting 15 minutes for the bus!!
We took the bus on the way back.
There were several baths, so it was very warm.
The facility was also nice and clean.
The food was as shown in the photos on the hotel's website. I thought there was some kind of ○○ fair, but I didn't notice it.
The breakfast was average. Is that why it's not specifically mentioned on the website? The dining area is large, so it was nearly full for both dinner and breakfast, but it wasn't so crowded that you had to wait to get your food, so I didn't feel stressed.
I couldn't adjust the temperature in the room well, so it was hot at night.
The bed was very hard, and I woke up many times.
So, when I woke up in the morning, I thought I'd take a bath, but the forest bath was closed, and the garden view bath in the building was also closed. I couldn't take a bath in the morning.
I had no choice but to use the bath in my room.
I was worried because there wasn't enough water in the sink, but the bath was separate and had enough water, and I was able to fill it up in no time. (lol)
I wish I had looked into the beds and hot springs a little more, since I was going to use the dog run and eat.

Needs a serious remodel
This hotel is on beautiful grounds but once you go inside it’s terrible. The overwhelming musty smell was awful, everyone on our tour commented on the musty smell. My room had a large water stain on the ceiling. The buffet dinner looked good but everything was ice cold. The only good thing was the sashimi. The beds were uncomfortable and the whole place needs a serious remodel. Staff was nice for hotel, but seemed short staffed in dining room where you have to bus your own tables.
