This was a great hotel for location and value. We just walked off the train and up an elevator to the hotel easy to find. We had a beautiful view to the sky ride and area from the 31st floor. Staff were great and the room had everything we needed... Close to shopping, trains and things to do...

Disgusting and old

Disgusting - carpets and furniture were filthy. We were told we would be in a renovated part of the hotel and then constantly gas lit when we showed management these pictures. We changed after one night (of which we didn't unpack anything) because we arrived close to midnight and didn't want our things in the dirty environment.
The air conditioning comes out of the bedside table - at the rate of a hand held fan. Save yourself from this unfortunate experience.

Breakfast was good, however the hours to use the onsen were very limited so we were unable to use it. The air-conditioning was almost nonexistent and the control unit in the room must've been installed in the 1960's. Calling room service for ice was inconvenient for needing additional ice. The lounge closed early in the evening so an evening cocktail was out of the question. I would not recommend this hotel to others. I must say the lobby was nice and modern.

after seeing the reception hall, we are disappointed with the room

the entrance of the hotel is magnificent; however, we had requested a room with a large bed for a 5-night stay; we were placed in a beautiful room with two beds separated by a closet. Big negotiation to change, we are tired and accept a room on a higher floor with a large bed but a cramped bathroom, toilet against the wall, stained and very damaged carpet, identical armchair, and a small room; finally, after 2 nights, we are changed
the hotel is aging and the rooms deserve renovation
it is clean like everywhere in Japan and the location is ideal

Great stay at ANA Crowne Plaza Kobe

I stayed here for 3 nights and had a wonderful experience. The front office staff were very polite and friendly, always smiling and ready to help — just like the great Japanese hospitality you would expect.
My room was clean and spacious, which is larger than many other hotels in Japan. The housekeeping team did a very good job keeping everything tidy.
I also enjoyed the Club Lounge, which serves breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening Happy Hours with good variety of food and drinks.
The location is very convenient, right next to Shin-Kobe Station, making it easy to take the Shinkansen or local trains.
I will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Kobe.
