Great hotel, close to Kumamoto Castle.

Great hotel. Bit small room. We had 2 twin beds. Shower and toilet separate.
Breakfast summary for the Westerner.
A 7eleven on the ground floor.
At the hotel you can have your suitcase shipped to the next hotel.

great stop to get around Kumamoto

We drove from Fukuoka airport to a factory outlet in Kumamoto, then drove to Hotel Wing. A fairly doable distance of 1.5 hours? Hotel Wing had a good location, paid parking was just opposite- a 2 min walk. We were an entourage of 7, including a wheelchair user elderly in tow. Found a perfect spot to alight and pick up near a side street linked to hotel's rear entrance. So important if you have to unload 7 luggages and not worry about where to stop your car illegally , keeping in mind Japan's strict driving rules.
Breakfast boasted a good variety of Japanese fare. It was thoroughly delicious and satisfying such that one can skip lunch. Breakfast staff was efficient,warm and friendly.
Bed was comfy, toilet a bit small but with well thought amenities synonymous with Japanese' eye for detail.
The onsen provided many quality amenities although it was a tad small for more than 3 people to soak in at a time. There was a max of 4 shower units but there's a sauna too.

Perfect location for kumamoto food market trip. Kumamoto castle was within walking distance and was able to see through the room window. I enjoyed the small but nice onsens the most.

The hotel is a bit small. But it’s clean and comfortable. However the tv is charged but without something good to watch.
