Cool hotel with friendly staff

I stayed here for a few days this year. I had returned to Osaka to visit a specific street food stall, Kyobashi Toyo. One of the staff was from the area and later wrote a letter detailing another standing bar (Shubou Matsui) to try in Kyobashi. The place was full of characters that I got chatting with, and at the end, they refused to let me pay my own bill. This was one of my favourite travel experiences, all because the hotel staff took the time to write a letter with recommendations.
As for the hotel, it is very cool in concept, with spacious rooms and a great bathroom.
A convenient location close to the subway, quiet and relaxing area.
In the hotel's details, they warned of the possibility of subway noise, but I couldn't hear a thing, even though I was on the second floor.
I will definitely go back next time I am in Osaka.

Great stay in Osaka

Highly recommended. Our first hotel in Japan and the reception to check out was perfect. We had a suite with a large balcony overlooking the river. The subway we had noticed but it absolutely did not bother us. Highly recommended....we would come back. In the morning there is free coffee and pastries. A Lawson is right outside the door and a great sushi place on the first floor.

Refund Policy

We were so looking forward to visiting Osaka and staying at The Boly, unfortunately my travel partner had an injury and we needed to cancel our trip. Our trip was to visit Osaka and onward to the Kumano Kodo. We will reschedule at a date in the future.
I want to note that if you cancel your reservation and have paid in advance, the hotel is not able to refund directly to your original form of payment, your credit card. The hotel must go through a lengthy process to direct deposit funds to your bank account and in that process ask for and unduly amount of personal account information. Customer service was very friendly, but I finally gave up the funds I had paid in advance due to the amount of personal information the hotel was asking of me and for which was I not willing to share. I gave the information that was sufficient to transfer funds but that was still not acceptable. We were sorry to miss the lovely Boly experience, but unsure if we would book here again.

Wonderful quirky hotel with lovely staff

I really enjoyed this hotel. Good location. Nice rooms. Lovely quirky design touches. Lovely staff ( they were so nice and helpful it really made the experience). I would stay here again anytime. Bear in mind that it is quirky. It’s not a business hotel and it is not a family hotel (although my teenage son loved it). It is not the Hilton and about the Sir /Madam experience. It is its own place. Which I like.

Great stay and great location

Thank you for the staff. They are caring and sensitive about we went to Japan for the first with 2 young children . I lost my bangle and they searched high and low for it . In the end I found it . They also recommended good breakfast places to go . We stayed comfortably here and also they gave complimentary champagne and orange juice for me and my kids . I will Côme back again to stay here. Thank you for taking care of us.
