Hotel bit old, but very neat train station.
Luckily I can see Mt. Fuji on that day :)

A long-established hotel with excellent access to Shimizu Station

I stayed here for one night to watch a soccer game. Despite checking in late at night, the staff was polite and accommodating. The room was standard, but the facilities were adequate. The air conditioning could only be set to HIGH, MID, or LOW, so it was a bit difficult to adjust to survive the hot night. The bathroom was also kept clean and there were no problems. Breakfast was served from 7am, but it was delicious and was served with a good distance between other guests. The hotel is old, so the facilities are average, but it's a cheap place to stay in front of Shimizu Station, and it's conveniently located for sightseeing.

Very old hotel, but the location is perfect!

The staff were very nice, and the breakfast was the best I ever had at a budget hotel. The Japanese style breakfast was better than the Western style. The room, however, was very old. The shower and tub had damage filled in with white putty. The carpets had been replaced by simply laying new ones over the moldy/stained old one. I could tell because it was too small and and extra piece had been laid over the gap, with some of the old carpet exposed in the corner.

High value for money. Close to the station. No direct shuttle bus to Shizuoka airport
