Ginza´s style

If you're an urban human, dynamic, sophisticated, like fancy shops and restaurants, and can afford it, this is the place to be.
Ginza reminds me of Manhattan and Fifth Ave in their prime (90's), and Muji is right in the middle of it.
Brand new hotel, modern, neat, minimalist. Super cool!

A truly Great hotel in Tokyo. Loved staying here.

I stayed at the Tokyo Muji Hotel in late May 2026 to attend my son’s wedding. I wanted my stay to feel special and after carefully reading the reviews, I almost cancelled my reservation based on some of the opinions. Thank goodness I didn’t. I’m an experienced traveler and this was one of my most pleasant stays. All I can say as that I had a great experience at the Muji Hotel. (Previous reviewers commented on the lack of service at the front desk, breakfast, rooms, etc. I couldn’t understand why.)
1. The staff at the front desk were excellent and accommodating. Everyone understood English and even if there were a few words missed, well, we figured it out and my bad for not knowing Japanese. Wonder staff from the front desk to those servicing the rooms.
2. The breakfast was excellent. Other reviewers commented on the slim selection. That was not the case. There was plenty of healthy choices and in fact, the breakfast was the highlight of my day. And free Cappuccino all day.
3. I stayed in room 905 D (twin bed) and found it very accommodating and a good size for Japan. It was very clean and restocked with Muji products daily. The location in Ginza was also excellent. There is no noise. Period. The windows are truly sound proof. The room was very clean and the bathtub was awesome.
4. All the gadgets from the i-pad for lights and shades to the in room diffuser were super cool. I was not a Muji fan but I’m one now. In fact, I bought a mini diffuser to bring home.
5. The access to the Muji store was terrific. While there were lines out front at 11:00 to go shopping, the hotel guests had direct access.
All I can say is a huge thank you to the lovely staff, especially who all went above and beyond a welcome first visit in Japan. P.S. I hardly ever write reviews – maybe once or twice. *I stayed at another hotel during my second week in Tokyo, and wished I had stayed at the Muji for the duration of my trip.

Best location and experience, although not the cheapest

Best location and experience to stay in Ginza. The room is very compact and has everything you need. It’s a good chance as well to try Muji products. They also provide with lounge access in the afternoon where you can sit and try Muji snacks, ramen noodle, even gin and sake! Muji store is downstairs and Uniqlo, GU and Daiso just literally across the road. And one of the best things as well, direct shuttle “limousine” bus to Narita airport 4 minutes by walk for only ¥1,500, ideal to drag your luggage after you fill them up with all your shoppings .

We love this hotel

We really love this hotel. Great location and lovely, serene rooms.
We love being so close to the Muji store for convenience. So many great features in the hotel room.
Only a couple of negative aspects. There was often a strong sewerage smell after using the shower - I think coming up from the drains. Not sure if the hotel can fix it but it was a bit unpleasant at times.
As much as the complimentary evening lounge is appreciated, it feels a bit restrained. Not much there and not quickly restocked.
Otherwise, I highly recommend. We will be back.

An unusual experience

This place is a joke. No hot water for hours and kept being told too many people were showing and to try later. This after arriving mid afternoon with plans for an early dinner. The room is tiny with no storage space. The bed is a thin mattress on the floor. The staff is minimally proficient in English although appear anxious to help but with no resolution. The room has unnecessary steps that make finding the bathroom at night challenging.
If you are into an adventure this is the place for you.
