Around Shin-Yokohama station, hotel prices may not be so high
But I guess I didn't like the dim lighting in my room. It's tough on old eyes.

The equipment is somewhat outdated.
There were a few unfortunate points about the facilities, such as the old bathroom tap, which requires separate hot water and water, the refrigerator, the bidet, which doesn't cool too much, and the curtains, which are not light-shielding for a hotel, but the cleanliness was good enough, and I think it was good cost-wise considering the location and price. Most of all, it was so quiet that you couldn't even think of it as being along the street, and some reviews said the walls were thin, so it was impressive that the next room might have been empty by chance, but it was quiet to the end with no sound from the outside.
In general, I got the impression that the hotel was made up for the inadequacies of the hardware, such as facilities, in terms of the software, such as customer service.

Cospa good.
Breakfast was either packed lunch or bread, and I made a Reservation for a no breakfast plan, which was convenient because there were many cafes nearby.
The rooms and bathrooms are small, but the amenities are available at the front desk, it's clean, and the cospa was good.
When I stay in Shin-Yokohama in the future, I want to be included in the list of hotels.

Comfortable stay, near the railway station
The room size was reasonable (considering Tokyo standards), but was good enough for 2 people. The beds were comfortable & I couldn't complain anything about the stay. All the usual amenities were provided. There's a Natural Lawson nearby (we're lacto vegetarians) & that had decent vegan / vegetarian options.
The station was hardly 10 minutes by walk. We got confused during our first night (also our first trip to Japan). Here's what we did - (a) exit the JR station, take the elevated walkway (b) turn to the left of that walkway, don't turn to the right where there's that elevated roundabout (c) go to the end of that elevated walkway & get down (d) take the 2nd left once you get down & you'll get to the hotel.
This property doesn't have a coin operated laundry. Though there's one within 10 minutes walk. Good that we didn't stay in Tokyo. If you've got the JR pass & don't mind the 20 min Shinkansen ride to Tokyo, then go ahead & book this place!
