The best beds ever.
Big advantage is the Train Factory across the street where there is a food court. Affordable food in pricey Helsinki. Hip environment on the rise!

FUN HOTEL with CHARACTER!
I appreciated them preparing a pre made breakfast option as we were to checkout and head to the airport before the breakfast restaurant opened on our last day.
The dinner and breakfast restaurant was so lovely & cozy, the sauna and steam room were great and common kitchen fun to meet new people !!!!
The welcome G & T was a fun and well appreciated way to arrive into Helsinki.
Thankyou Folks hotel.

Breakfast fine, rooms not so.
The hotel’s location in a former industrial district is also quite interesting. The area’s large inner courtyard even brings to mind the Telliskivi Creative City area in Tallinn, although during my visit it felt considerably less lively. Hopefully this will improve as the summer progresses and the area continues to develop over the coming years. The location is not central, but the transport connections are quite good, as is often the case in Helsinki.
The rooms are very clean, and the hotel itself is well-kept.The room’s flooring has been designed sensibly: the area near the entrance door and bathroom is covered with vinyl flooring, which is especially practical in winter when dirty shoes, snow, and slush are brought inside. Guests can take their shoes off in the room, Finnish style.
And the hotel even smells new, despite having been built 6 to 7 years ago.
There is no space at all in the for the guest’s personal belongings. Not even a simple set of drawers.
The shower area is separated from the rest of the space by a small glass wall, but water can splash around it and underneath, so the entire bathroom floor ends up getting wet.There is only one washer-dryer machine in the hotel’s laundry room, so there may sometimes be a queue to use it.
The shared kitchen is cozy and well equipped.
The hotel is suitable for a solo traveler who doesn’t have a lot of luggage and isn't in a hurry, as it is a bit outside the center of Helsinki.
