Japanese-style rooms

The location of this hotel is excellent, allowing you to visit the city center on foot. Friendly staff. It's a pity that the rooms are too small, making it difficult to move around and open the suitcase for two!!! Some issues with cleaning.

Disappointing experience

I prepaid for 3 nights in Oct 2025, when I checked -in in April 2026, they had construction going on on the floor above me. Had I known there was construction planned, I would not have stayed. Listened to drilling above my head for time there. No compensation for this, buyer beware

Nice base for exploring Ex

Nice base for exploring Ex, close to bus and train stations. Staff friendly, rooms nice and comfy. Breakfast buffet was basic but nice and had all you needed.

Good location, small room, pleasant staff, good value

We enjoyed a two night stay in the Rotonde, well located on the SW edge of central Aix-en-Provence and a short walk from the Cours Mirabeau.
Our ‘single’ room was dominated by two small double beds and was a base rather than a destination. The room and its shower-over-bath bathroom were adequately equipped and everything worked.
The hotel offers only breakfast but there are many nearby restaurants. Breakfast is a self-service buffet, adequate but unexciting.
The staff we met were all pleasant and helpful (we didn’t test them much).
Overall, a three star plus and good value.
