Very disappointing level of service
We returned last month for one night, with dinner, staying in one of the suites on the top floor, to celebrate our 45th wedding anniversary.
Observations:
* The hotel has been very tastefully refurbished since our last visit in June 2024. To compensate this, the room rates have increased.
* Having said that, there was no hanging rail/wardrobe in our suite, which was immediately brought to the attention of the staff. No apology.
* This hotel has always attracted English tourists but the new staff speak very little English.
* Quality of the food is not as good as it used to be - bring back the dessert trolley! For breakfast, I requested the ham be replenished but was told ‘none left’!!
* Standard of personal service is not what it used to be - we felt like we were just a number.
* We usually pay the bill after breakfast upon departure - on this occasion, we were requested to pay the bill immediately after dinner (before sleeping/breakfast). Very odd - we have used over 30 Logis hotels over the last 20 years and never had to pay the bill on the day of arrival. Don’t the new management trust their customers to pay the bill on departure?
* Overall, we were very disappointed with the level of service and won’t be rushing to return next year. The total bill for 1 night including dinner/breakfast was over 700 Euros for 2 couples - in our view, this no longer represents value for money. In contrast, we stayed at another Logis hotel (Aux Maisons, near Troyes) a few days earlier where the total bill was much lower for 4 people where the accommodation was of a similar standard but the quality of the food/service was much better.

Good, but could do better.
My dissapointment, hence my marking on this occasion, was no options on the evening meal. I understand on a Monday the selection needs to be less due to the lack of Guests but to have the starter and main both fish with no other option and no other restaurants locally open. This alienated some of the guests.
This meant I didn't eat dinner with my brother as he doesn't eat fish

I would appreciate breakfast from 6:30 instead of 7:00, I was on a business trip so difficult to reach site at 8:00 having breakfast from 7:00.
