The choice is obvious)

If you're going to Paris, make no mistake, this hotel and this chain is the best solution! Joke is located in the 9th arrondissement, the location is very convenient, right walk, get out after 15 minutes walk to the Gallery Lafayette, left walk 3 minutes and you are near the Moulin Rouge”️ absolutely safe area if you too as I Googled )) there are many different restaurants and markets nearby. The rooms may be small, but the hotel provides many different bonuses, free coffee (very delicious) throughout the day and many different snacks.

Surprising gem in the heart of Paris near the Moulin Rouge— loved everything about it- from the helpful staff, to the free snacks to the decent room.

A cool and comfortable place to stay.

We stayed at Hotel Joke in the midst of a heatwave and found it a truly comfortable place to land at the end of long, hot days sightseeing. The air conditioning is top notch—completely effective. A family of three, we stayed in a Superior Room for four nights. Our bed was large and comfortable and our teenage daughter loved her sofabed, tucked into a little nook. The bathroom was private and enclosed, the shower worked great, and there was plenty of space for suitcases and room to hang some clothes in the room. We had breakfast at the hotel a couple mornings and it was great and convenient. A couple other mornings we grabbed yummy pastries from a bakery just across the way, en route to our activities of the day. The neighborhood is lively and full of cafes, there is a Monoprix around the corner from the hotel for snacks and drinks and other goodies, and three Metro stops are within easy walking distance. Thanks to the friendly and helpful staff at the hotel!
5/5, would definitely do again.

No Joke at all (I'm sure all the reviews do this!)...

We booked a connecting room for ourselves and our teenage son. It worked out very well. The free snacks and refreshments, in the lobby and in the room, proved a Godsend when you arrive back at the hotel after busy days exploring Paris. It's very close to two Metro lines, and a very short walk to the (infamous) Moulin Rouge. A fantastic Boulangerie is across the road on the corner, and BlaBla just down the road is cheap & cheerful for tapas style bites and beers. The hotel appeared to be clean, and despite facing onto the road, the windows kept out the noise when closed.

Family trip to Paris

Visited Paris with my husband and our 7 month old daughter. This hotel was excellent! Very family friendly - accessible with the lifts, big family room with a travel cot and high chair available at breakfast. We also loved the free snacks that were available from 2pm until 2am and it was really useful to be able to pop into the other hotel branches across Paris for a much needed drink, snack and sit down to feed our daughter - a great bonus feature of the hotel! Excellent location as well - close to the Moulin Rouge, Montmatre and lots of lovely coffee shops and bakeries!
