A perfect location to Gare L'Est and surrounding. We were surprised to experience a wonderful hotel, its small courtyard, the delicious breakfast offering, and of course, the comfortable room.

Breakfast was good. The man at the desk helped us with luggage. Though there is a lift it stops between stairs so one has to manage bags over some steep steps. Room was clean with quirky walls. Small fridge in room. Good restaurant around corner from street.

109-Room very good size for Paris and certainly room to have a proper single bed not a sofa chair which is narrow and mattress so thin that for my 18 year old son/third adult which we booked for, not a very comfortable night sleep. Air conditioning was on cold 24 centrally controlled so not very cool and noisy. Unfortunately, we couldn’t even open the window as massive silver air conditioning pipe outside our window perhaps 3 foot away generating heat-view was of a wall just behind pipe-this too was v noisy and as you expect ran all night. Not a great nights sleep for anyone. Really disappointed that this room is being allocated to Hotel.com guests - I can only assume the hotel was full. I feel it should be flagged that you won’t be able to open the window, we didn’t realise till we returned after 11pm as we arrived on a late Eurostar and went straight for dinner and you should be offered a substantial reduction in price. Plus the Metro runs under the hotel and you can hear and feel the vibrations in this room. Really sad. We regularly travel through Paris and wanted to try somewhere different for a change.

The room, a single room, was on the small side but perfectly fine for a solo traveler. You cannot really adjust the AC, it was fixed at 16°. Initially I thought it was too low but it never reaches anything near 16° so it was fine and I had a comfortable night. I would have preferred a chair rather than a stool.

No follow-up.

I forgot my electric razor in my room. After 2 calls, it was found. Then, on the day I went to retrieve it (a month later, not being in Paris every day), it disappeared again, and I have not heard back despite my messages. This is not worthy of the conduct of a hotel. Having been a director of a 120-room hotel myself, these are things that do not happen when one manages their establishment well.
