Great location with everything you need at a reasonable price.

Great location. Close to a metro station with 3 lines. Excellent service. Samuel at the front desk greeted me when I arrived in the morning and had a room available. Remembered my name every time I saw him he asked how things were. The cleaning lady, Djenevou, did a very nice job and quickly cleaned my room. Leslie the manager was also very pleasant. I have been staying at Ibis hotels for years. Always at good location and not fancy but have everything you need at a reasonable price.

Calm around perfect logistics spot to arrive and discover Paris - but the house keeping.

SUPER PLUS: Breakfast Lady + Selection. She presented everything with passion and love, making the buffet very inviting. For an Ibis hotel, it was very lovely.
SUPER MEGA XXL MINUS: Housekeeping: day of arrival: a dirty towel left by the previous guests still in the room. No towels are provided for all guests. The bed frame is not fixed. Broke twice during a three-night stay. The second day, we were friendly since it was New Year’s Day, and we gave her some chocolate; everything was perfect. Third day: housekeeping did not show up until 17:00 hrs. The front desk explained that this is „normal“.
It could be better: primarily, remove bathtubs and replace them with an oversized shower.
With good connections to the Metro and buses, every point in Paris is within 2 minutes. Use exit 6 from Metro.
Gare de l‘Est is perfect. But Gare du Nord is too far to walk and back to the hotel uphill. The best is Bus 38/91 for two stops - 2,05 EUR.

Extremely disappointing stay — avoid if you expect basic comfort or honesty

This has been one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had.
When we arrived, we were told that because a large family needed to be accommodated together, we had been put in a room that “people didn’t love”, but we were assured it would only be for one night. The next day, we were told we could not be moved because the hotel was fully booked. Later, when we asked again, staff seemed unaware of the situation and only said they would leave a note for the manager.
That night, the air conditioning stopped working properly. The unit was on, the windows were closed, and it was set to 20°C, but it was only blowing room-temperature air. The room temperature kept rising to around 29°C in the middle of the night, making it impossible to sleep. When we spoke to reception at around 3:30am, we were told nothing could be done that night, but suddenly they said we could be moved to another room the next day — despite telling us twice earlier that the hotel was fully booked.
The whole experience felt disorganised, dishonest, and extremely uncomfortable. We were given a poor room, promised it would only be temporary, then left to deal with a hot room and no real solution during the night. A hotel should at least provide a clean, comfortable room where guests can sleep. This did not happen.
I would not recommend this hotel.

Home topissimo

Welcome to the top of this hotel particularly well located near Gare de l'Est. Upstream to prepare my coming professional and effective exchange by email with Samuel. As soon as we arrived, before 10am, we had the chance to find Samuel and enjoy a smiling and kind welcome, worthy of the biggest palaces. Our room quickly enough available thanks to Adelaide and her fellow housekeepers particularly attentive to the customer that we are. The "feel welcome" is really there with possibility offered by Samuel to choose our room. The room, the 602, renovated, 6th floor on street but very quiet, clean and very well appointed. Widescreen wall TV with French and foreign channels. Small office. Multitake. Proper air conditioning. Bathroom with two bath towels and large shower. Cookies (2) offered. Two more pillows. Comfortable bedding. Blackout curtains. Luggage weighing in the lobby (€1), tea and kettle available and bowl of cornflakes. Nothing changed everything is topsimous. We will definitely be back.

Basic

I have stayed in Ibis hotels before and knew they were cheap and cheerful. The room was tiny for me and my daughter but the beds were comfortable and it was clean.
The room was freezing cold for the entire three night stay and the heating system did not work, the bath was against the window and you had to squeeze around the shower door which did not fully open in order to enter it, a larger person would certainly not fit, I struggled as a UK size 14. We were only provided one very thin towel each, the carpet was stained with bleach.
The shower head was too heavy for the bracket and wouldn’t hold up on the wall so we had to hold the head of the shower, water pressure was good and the water was hot.
Breakfast - do not pay the rip off price of €13, go to the little cafe next door where breakfast is much better for half the cost. Ham and cheese at the hotel breakfast ran out, juice ran out, you were only allowed to have one clean glass, cup, plate and cutlery each and you have to clear your own place setting after breakfast. The breakfast room is tiny and very cramped.
The location is good for travel however, very close to Gare du Nord and Gare de l’Est with a metro stop next to the hotel. There are several supermarkets, bakeries and restaurants nearby.
I would choose this hotel for a single night stay on the way to somewhere else, but would not wish to stay here for many nights in a row.
