Maravilloso

Making the Cat 700 we stayed in Prats de Motllo and chose this accommodation by chiripa.
But meeting Mauro in person and seeing the facility we knew we were in the right place.
It has a special charm: the reception, the room and every room we could see. Oh, the nice little terrazzo!

Great location wonderful place to stay

We were only there for one night but would stay here again most definitely. No restaurant was open in town the night, so it was here's the kitchen, the shop is next door, cook what ever you want. Breakfast was superb and the intimate family atmosphere and warm fire in the evening made for a great stay. Our room was more than large enough and had an outside balcony, not used because it was so cold but in summer would be wonderful with great views of the surrounding mountains. Our hosts were extremely friendly and accommodating.

Maison Mauro

Beautiful comfortable accommodation. We had a really tastefully decorated room with a walk in shower.We also had a patio with lovely views.
The breakfast was excellent.
The owners were very helpful and spoke excellent English.
We will stay here again on future visits.

Comfortable, funky, friendly B & B, Well-located

We enjoyed our stay very much. We were here two days. Our group took up all four rooms in the B & B. Each room was different, and furnished with an eclectic collection of furniture. The beds were comfy beds. We had nice, big window. One room faced onto the street and might have been a bit noisy. The others faced toward the back. All rooms were a nice size and had big, old-fashioned, lovely windows. One of the rooms was enormous. Another, on the second floor, had a big veranda. There was a large veranda available to all of us, near the entryway. The only thing was that none of our rooms locked, so if you were in the B&B with people you didn't know, you'd be trusting them not to bother your stuff. We each got a key to the entry door to the B & B.
The proprietor was friendly and spoke English well enough. He offered to fix our group whatever we wanted for breakfast (we requested scrambled eggs and he did a nice job). The bread was so good the first morning, we asked if he could get some extra loaves for us to take on our hike the next day. He was glad to do that, and didn't charge us anything!
The location of this B&B is very handy -- right near the little town center and the tourist office, and very close to the older part of the city and to the old fort up the hill, Fort Lagarde.
There was a farmer's market in the town center once morning, with delectable cheeses and vegetables.

We stayed here for 2 nights ,the owner was very helpful ,the accomadation was amazing such a beautiful place ,would love to go back,very uncommercialised ,steeped in history ,plenty of board games to keep the kids occupied
