Unique character building with friendly owners in a charming setting. Lovely backdrop and tasty breakfast in the morning of local breads. If you find yourself needing to stay in the area, I would thoroughly recommend this quiet out of the way property.

3 soothing days
Surprising as this place may be, it feels really good.
We had booked the "pigeonnier" comprising a large bedroom with desk, a private bathroom with a large shower. Upstairs a small living room with a large coffee table and 2 comfortable armchairs and everything you need to be able to have lunch and eat quickly with the microwave and fridge provided.
The welcome is very warm and the availability of the owner is to note.
As for the decor and furniture, certainly old but which gives an even stronger soul to this place.
Breakfast with its different kinds of breads, plain yogurts and the choice of unlimited jams made our pleasure.
And we organized our meals according to what was made available to us.
Lovers of great quiet, this place is ideal for recharging.
And if you don't want to take the car, you can walk around the estate.
We still had some nice visits, of course for a few kilometers.
WIFI available:-) if you do not want to feel completely "isolated" and especially if the lack of TV is felt. Because in this old dovecote there are none.

Cozy room, but nice area
We were on the 1st floor of the ‘main’ building and had 2 separate rooms. Furniture is very old and rooms made a dusty and not very clean impression. One of the rooms had no curtain. Bedding was old (bit worn sheets) and musty.
Reception by Owner was very friendly and helpful.
Breakfast is not much, (no fresh) bread with only a jar of jam, yogurt and apple juice. Bags of tea also seemed very old.
Environment is beautiful, spacious garden and near town with some restaurants.

For the price €103, it absolutely wasn't worth it. It is situated in the middle of nowhere. You have to arrange your breakfast yourself for the next morning. The only thing you get in the evening before, is a bag with bread and some marmelade. The fridge is hardly filled and you have to make your thea or coffee yourself. Besides the awfull smell in the sleepingroom it is an accomodation far beyond nowadays standards. We thought we had become in a horror movie of the worst kind.

Peaceful Retread
Firstly I want to emphasise we were here for a wedding, and didn't intend on spending too much time in the establishment, having many friends to catch up with while we were in France, but we still very much enjoyed our stay.
We stayed in Le Pigionnier. Part of the very old house. There was a more modern house across a very quiet road (where our parking was allocated).
The points which, although didn't affect our enjoyment, may well be a consideration for other travellers, especially if you plan to spend longer hours here.
There were no tea or coffee making facility in the room. This may be normal for French B & B though, so not so much a criticism as personal choice.
There was a basic (although very tasty) breakfast of bread, cheese, yoghurt and assortment of jams. No cereal, fresh fruit, pastries or cold meats. The owners may have been able to provide a more extended breakfast menu, but we didn't need it, so didn't ask.
There is no television, radio or clock in the room.
The lighting is low, with none in the shower / sink room.
Due to steps in the older house, it wouldn't be suitable for people with mobility issues. For these disabilities, the more modern house may be a better option.
The hospitality of the owners was outstanding. Their knowledge of their home and local area was fabulous, and they were willing to share this with guests.
The area, for us, was wonderful. The only noises were birdsong. True peace and quiet.
The bed was wonderfully comfortable, and with small windows either end of the room, it enabled a cool, gentle breeze while outside it was a still 30 degrees!
The grounds are large and very pretty. This really is a country retreat, so if tranquility is your thing, with mile after mile of French fields, then this is the ideal place.
If you are looking for all mod cons, this may not be the place for you, but as a getaway from the rat race with basic provision from your B & B, it is ideal.
A vehicle is a must.

Indeed when we welcome people who have difficulty climbing the stairs we advise them to book the room "Découverte" located on the ground floor of the other house.
