Would return in a heartbeat
This is the place to stay if you’re visiting St Remy.
It’s a little bit outside of the town - a 20 minute or so walk - but that suited us perfectly as it was nice to explore the town and then retreat to this beautiful oasis.
Outdoor space is really important to us on holiday and this had it in spades - beautiful gardens, a swimming pool and tennis court.
The hotel is just stunning and you felt like you were staying somewhere very special in Provence.
The room itself was spacious, beautifully decorated with large windows overlooking the garden. There were loads of lovely touches such as Suzanne Kauffman toiletries and fresh sweet treats in the room daily.
There’s a Boulangerie and an organic food shop about five minutes walk away so you can get provisions locally without having to go into town if you need to.
A special shout out to Gail who gave us the warmest welcome, was always so accommodating and worked tirelessly throughout to make our stay extra special. Merci Gail!

A dream lived!
The hotel is located in the middle of fantastic 'castle gardens' under wonderful plane trees. Even the entrance through the tree avenue is beautiful. The house and gardens are even more beautiful in Natura than in the photos. Our room 'Vincent' was wonderfully large, the bathroom as well. It's all newly renovated, extremely clean and just fantastically charming. The staff (merci Sacha;-)) were all very, very friendly, likeable and accommodating. A 'quiet luxury' is lived. By this I mean: a lot of space and privacy, a relaxed (breakfast time on request), possibility to get a simple menu in the evening on site or the option to eat something small at one of the wonderful tables yourself. The bed was partly semi-comfortable and the rooms in the main house are somewhat ring-heard (large, resounding staircase) as are 'voices' from the courtyard. I perceived this but never found it disturbing. Breakfast was great, but I would have liked a little more 'salty' products like cheese and scrambled eggs. The products in the bathroom (Susanne Kaufmann) as well as the Fontenille Rosé and the olive oil are just top! The bath towels are incredibly 'fluffy' and every day there was fresh mineral water and two small cakes in the room. I fell in love and will definitely come back! Merci beaucoup dear Fontenille group!

Lovely place despite the hellish heat. Warm Welcoming and typical breakfast. I'm still here for a couple of days but thank the staff for everything? Did I read it was expensive? For context and more it is not. Then let's remember it's not a hotel. I had light lunch and well satisfied. All fresh and freshly made. Really positive experience

Not a luxury hotel and not worth the price tag
While a beautiful setting, this hotel did not offer the degree of service one would expect from a luxury hotel for the price they charge. We never received any communication from the hotel in advance of our visit and when we arrived to check in at 4 pm, there was only one person working there—serving as the front desk, bartender, restaurant server, cook and bellman. There was no service at the pool, no valet, and no turndown. We were exhausted from travel and so we decided to dine at the hotel—we had to eat before 8 pm from a very basic menu prepared by the one gentleman there. The next morning the situation continued—one person there to serve breakfast to all the guests and also to check us out (which caused her to have to pause the breakfast service to other guests). If you choose to stay here, you should be prepared for more of a B&B self-service experience than a luxury hotel.

Great choice in Saint Remy
The hotel is excellent, very close to the city centre, but in an area surrounded by gardens and small forests. The structure is very good, room wide and very well equipped.
In any case, and which does not diminish the rating, the breakfast could have more options.
The staff is exceptional and very attentive, but it would be nice if the hotel had more staff as they were often overloaded to serve all guests. Also, during the night there is no staff at the hotel, only a number to contact in case of emergency, which can be inconvenient.
