We received a great welcome by the staff who were very helpful and gave us all the information we required ( she had a wonderful gravelly voice). The staff member spoke clear slow french to make sure I understood ( but she also had very good English)
the room was basic but had a sea view and air conditioning and toiletries so everything we needed. It is possible to swim across from the hotel ( we paddled) and a nice walk into the town centre/harbour
Nice buffet breakfast the next morning and you could either sit inside or out on the terrace.
The staff were lovely making it a nice relaxed stay , we would love to visit again

Excellent place

Excellent place! Small menu, homemade products, and innovative dishes
Ideal for foodies like us.
I rarely give 5/5, but everything is there: the setting, the service, and the succulent dishes.
Bravo to the whole team!

What a disappointment!

Huge disappointment...
A cuisine that is too inventive, which consequently forgets to respect the basic product
Shiitake and wild shrimp ravioli, or rather a hash drowned in its not very pleasant sauce...
And a service time that is unacceptable for this type of establishment
More than half an hour to get the appetizer
More than three quarters of an hour later to get the main course.
Only the terrace by the sea saves the day!

Decent hotel, friendly staff but disappointing restaurant

Ordinary cuisine. A "gourmet" package offered in half-board, but which requires paying for drinks and changes of dishes at the restaurant.
Choosing oysters to replace the appetizer planned in the menu (at the same price) incurs an additional charge! Not very customer-friendly. In summary, a bit disappointed!
Fortunately, the location is by the beach with a beautiful terrace for meals.

Great Sunday lunch at Le Homard Blue

We went to Ile d'Oleron for the day and it was lovely. Whilst looking for a recommenden antique dealer on the quai in St. Trojan les Bains, we found the Homard Blue terrace next door and quickly reserved for lunch. The daily menu was great; very fresh oysters, moules eclat (BBQ's mussels) and a nice dessert. Very reasonably priced. The waitress was kind and we enjoyed our unexpected lunch at le Homard Blue very much. Will go again.
