Unacceptable behavior of the owner after an honest review.

My stay had already been disappointing (wet smell, significant noise, lack of maintenance), as I mentioned in my first review on Booking.
Unfortunately, following this posting, I received several messages from the owner containing insults, blackmail, discrimination and disparaging remarks about me and my family.
This is totally unacceptable. No guest should experience such behavior after simply giving an honest and factual opinion about a paid stay.
I share this experience to warn other travellers and encourage more respectful communication with customers.

Enjoyable stay

Small hostel located in the Vosges 30 minutes from gerardmer. I enjoyed the calm, the good mood of his boss. Perfect room. Unpretentious. Kitchen with a step menu. It is simple but perfectly suitable. Very good Price quality ratio , count for less than 100 euros the evening stage excluding drinks which is more than suitable.

It seems to be family run and operated. They were great, gracious hosts. The room was spacious, and handicapped friendly. It had a shower you could get in if you are in a wheelchair. Comfortable bed. That's the good. The not so good: I'm a very light sleeper. This place is right next to the road and my window kind of faced it. Traffic wasn't heavy, but any time a car went past, it was like it was right next to my bed. As for the restaurant, for dinner, you get what the chef makes, I guess. It was good, but I'd prefer options. Breakfast was underwhelming. For one night, it was ok, but that's about it.

Superb experience

Our stay was very pleasant, the welcome was great. The owner is very nice and pleasant.
The room was superb and comfortable! Breakfast and meals were good and hearty! We recommend this hostel, and the owner's sympathy is worth a visit!
