Good location - just near the city proper, capitol and market. Also near restaurants and small shopping centres in the city.
The building is quite old though, so are the amenities and room. Just right for the price for the stay. Staff are courteous and friendly.

I've tried several hotels at laoag before but Hotel Asuncion is the most comfortable one so far....

disappointing check out

nice staff but man the rooms werent vacuumed, they did oblige but still stuffy, windows unwashed, they forgot to check my metal keys wc i brought with me to manila and jst for that bugged that i post the key back!!a metal key!!! brother
also they nedd to take away the stuffiness of the rooms my first room the aircon gushed water litres and good thing i wasnt electocuted!! mortified it ddnt have windows too and they nver asked!!!
