Borsec is returning to live after years of depreciation
This SPA city was flourishing in the Ceausescu time, when all villas or most of them were hold by the communist party. This time was difficult to get a treatment if not related to the communist party somehow.
After Ceausescu (1989) the city was depreciating as the nice houses remained without owner and maintenance.
Today, most of the villas are back to original owners or new investors. There are very few left which are not rebuilt or renovated. the city looks perfect and the SPA is perfect. there is a big nice park with two caves Ice cave and Beers Cave.
The water springs are all in good shape and the mineral water is suitable for many treatments.
We stay at Casa Floarea which is a bit remote placed, not in the center but is a very good choice and very good deal as well.
Nice and clean, large rooms, balcony, gim room now in construction.
parking free.
as they are not in the center, they have their own shuttle to the "springs aria".
