Stay is very good, but hosts are the best!

It was huge pleasure to stay in Asela's family lodge. Place is awesome, looks like middle of the jungle and have some wild animals in nights!
Breakfasts was created in their home and was really tasty.
Additionaly Asela is perfect guide, if will have time, ask him to show best places and safari!

We had reserved three rooms for one night. When we arrived, the host refused to let us in at all. He didn't believe we were German – even after we showed our passports. What was particularly shocking was that he specifically looked at our skin color to judge whether we were "light enough." Ultimately, he simply kicked us out. This behavior was blatantly discriminatory and completely disrespectful. We are deeply disappointed and cannot recommend this accommodation under any circumstances.

Perfect stay in the middle of nature

The Sigiriya freedom lodge is a nice humble stay in the jungle of Sri Lanka. Close to the sigiriya rock and with the most hospital host you can wish. For budget travellers a perfect option! The room is simple and the breakfast is sri lankan.

Great hosts and peaceful place

Thank you Asela for our nice stay. It is a very quiet place in the forest and the food is delicious. The rooms are very spacious and clean. Definitely recommend for staying and visiting the area. Bus stop is 5 min walking

Very good journey !

I recommend to stop in this guest house with Asila and his family. I cooked with them, it was so nice. The bedroom and bathroom are clean, good location. Asila can answers all of your questions and can give you some good plan around. Go ahead !
