Perfect getaway for anyone loving the sea, sand & swimming

We had the pleasure of staying at the villa for 2 nights. Excellent location practically on the beach, Excellent service provided by the team. Felt like we were home. I can highly recommend the villa for anyone, family with kids & pets too.

Best beach view and nice place

This stand in front of the beach and we had a best beach view from garden. Rooms are very clean and bunker beds available. dining area is clean and good place to drink.

A perfect retreat!

Ocean Gateway Dickwella was our second destination in Sri-Lanka after Kosgoda in the west. Located not far from the main Dickwella beach (which we didn’t like, by the way) in Bathigama Bay, it is a real gem of Sri-Lankan shore. A stunning property right on the beach with a hypnotizing view on the Mighty Ocean.
A really nice and quiet place for introverts and those who don’t like crowds and loud music.
We stayed in a room for 4 persons without direct view to the ocean, but it’s not really needed. You can walk out of the room and sit in a comfortable chair watching the beauty. The room is nice, the beds are comfortable, the bathroom is big and there was always hot (with strong pressure!) water in the shower. It would have been nice to have a small fridge in the room, though, but not critical. A kettle, hair dryer and socket adaptors were provided by the owner upon the arrival.
The host, Mahesh, is the most wonderful person! He is Mr. Cook, Mr. Manager and Mr. Pleasant Companion in one face! Although I ended up not liking Sri-Lankan cuisine too much, the Devilled chicken and fried bananas were wonderful!
150 meters from the hotel is the Turtle Beach where we spent a lot of time snorkeling. There are also a couple of café’s on the beach near-by and a small food store just across the street from the hotel.

It's great! I recommend it!!!!!!! A wonderful holiday on the ocean! Very calm and soulful! You can visit many interesting places!!!

Very nice hotel!!!! Delicious food prepared by a professional chef!!! The ocean is extraordinary blue, even when it's out of season! You can see the turtles feed them swim with them! Comfortable, comfortable rooms! All recommend visiting Ocean Gateway Dickwella !!!!

Gem

Special place with amazing sea. Friendly staff and great cook. Love the every bit of it! We had 4 little ones and it was so safe for them as well. Beach was clean and don’t forget to do some laps during early ours of the morning . See you next time
