OH … la … la - a special experience

We traversed a scrub jungle road way to get to NILS SISILA …
standing rt @ the foot of the entrance … was, HANSA with the warmest smile of the season - in greeting us.
Close on his heels followed SA, his adorable charming wife, with Fresh Passion Fruit juices for the 3 of us.
NS is an exceptionally well run & maintained property. It exemplifies all of the jungle experience of living within it.
At night the property comes alive.with warm lights on each visible tree on the front yard.
Every needed amenity is on hand; from a well equipped En-suite, an Inverter Aircon, comfy beds++.
Hansa states that his next immediate upgrade is gonna be a fridge in each room.
The property has 3*Rooms. We occupied 2; each of which was a dbl. They cud accommodate 10 folks in toto at the property - ie. with a few clubbing on beds in the ‘open air’ living room.
surprise, Hansa states that he wud not multiply his accommodation. “This is more than enough.”
Why not? “NS is having an exceptionally HIGH VOLUME of foot falls - far exceeding any std”
We were extremely fortunate to strike GOLD … to get this booking
SA & HANSA put together all our meals & in fact, SA prepared sandwiches for our last days breakfast; which v took on the Safari.
We had 2 night’s at NS & went on 4*SAFARI’S
On our 2nd eve v were very fortunate to be waited on by NS Staff - Shan. An exceptionally cheerful young lad.
Many a Doggie are house pets & a curious Bull too.
NS is absolute value.

An amazing resort with so much to offer
This resort is a hidden treasure in an amazing setting overlooking the ocean, close proximity to Block 1 of the Yala sanctuary.
The rooms are immaculate - spotlessly clean, well equipped, airconditioned.
On arrival we were greeted with a welcome smile and a fresh glass of juice by the owners (host Hansa and his wife Sa).
The food was delicious and yum :).
In the dark, the yard is lit up with garden lights to highlight the ambience of the the property. Great initiative - very creative.
Their crockery and some of their linen is branded with the resort name in their unique colours - a excellent branding position.
The property, though small with 3 rooms is 5 star rated. It's outstanding. I will be back when I return to Yala.

They were extremely welcoming and helpful and made our stay a great experience.
The location with the beautiful garden just a few meters from the sea is unique.
Various animals and especially birds can be observed from the dining area.
Hansa and Saar are exceptionally hospitable, helpful and are there at any time of the day.
Hansagab us lots of tips and advice and knowledge about Sri Lanka and the national park. The garden is like a small park right by the sea. In the evening we could enjoy the sound of the sea with tea and fruit.
The accommodation is very practical and clean.

Fantastic
This was our finest destination in Sri Lanka.
We booked to go to Yala from there, the incredibly friendly owner arranges a great driver / guide.
But actually you don't want to leave, the serene peace, beautiful garden, on 2 sides the ocean with a wild and slightly less wild part and the best food during our trip.

Absolutely loved this place!
What an experience staying at Nil Sisila is! We loved it!
This is a very small, family run hotel but the location is breathtaking. It is right between the beach and national park and the gardens are beautiful.
The accommodation itself is basic but very clean with aircon and a great shower . We opted to sleep outside and it was so therapeutic sleeping with the sound of the waves!
The host is a lovely man, very knowledgeable and passionate about Sri Lanka and its wildlife. We also had dinner there one night and it was delicious..one of the best we'd had.
Would thoroughly recommend a stay at Nil Sisila!

The accommodation itself is basic but very clean with aircon and a great shower . We opted to sleep outside and it was so therapeutic sleeping with the sound of the waves!
