Memorable stay
Clean room with AC in a beautiful house surrounded by a big garden which gives the place silence and charm. Its location is very convenient because it is next to one of the gates to the ancient city of Polonnaruwa.
You will be received by a nice and kind family who is delighted to welcome you. Pradeep help me fast and efficiently to get a bicycle and a safari, among other things. I was treated like another family member. What's more, their food is delicious.

Great value
A good base for exploring area, tucked away, very quiet. Within viewing distance of the ancient ruins although the entrance is several kms.
Clean, comfortable with very amiable host family who made excellent evening meal and breakfast.

Perfect location, perfect hosts
We spent 2 nights at River Nature Park and it was perfect. Pradeep, his wife and their kids are beautiful, the room was very nice and the location is great just outside one of the gates to the incredible ancient city. We had breakfasts and dinners there and everything was excellent. We borrowed bicycles to explore the river and the ancient city. Pradeep also took us on an amazing safari to see the wild and free elephants in Kaudulla National Park. We saw at least 100 of them and lots of little one. After the safari he dropped us off in Dambulla as that was our next stop. If we ever get back to Polonnaruwa we would definitely stay here again.

Our favourite Homestay in Sri Lanka
We had the most incredible stay at River Nature Park with Pradeep and his beautiful family. Initially we were only going to stay for one night but we ended up staying for three nights and we were so sad we had to leave and couldn’t stay longer. With only two rooms in the guest house the place is really personal. The room we stayed in had two comfy double beds (great for me and my sister) with mosquito nets and a really clean bathroom. The terrace was great to sit out in the evening. The place is really peaceful and really well located behind the ruins so great to cycle along the river and around the city (they have bikes they lent us for all our time there). Pradeep and his wife Subhashi are so attentive and always made sure we had everything we needed. Subhashi cooked the best food we had in all our time in Sri Lanka. It was all so fresh and authentic Sri Lankan food and each night and morning we enjoyed something different. We even had a cooking class with Subhashi where she showed us how she makes everything...it was incredible! We also went on a safari with Pradeep and he was amazing at locating all the animals...highly recommend! They were so helpful...He also drove us to get an Ayurvedic massage and organised a visit around a spice garden. He also arranged a driver to take us onto our next location for a great price. Pradeep and Subhashi are the kindest and most genuine people it was such a pleasure to stay with them. If you are coming to Polonnaruwa make sure you stay here! Perfectly clean room, excellent hosts
This hostel offers two rooms in small house with garden. Each room is for 4 people, it is quite small but clean with AC and new clean bathroom. The hosts are the best, so kind and friendly!
Ask the lady to make you a dinner (600 rps/person). it was excelent curry, a lot of different plates, not much spicy and as a dessert traditional buffalo yogurt with palm honey. They also serve a beer (400 rps).
The hosts organised for us trip to see sunrise from Pidurangala rock. It was cheap and they didnt try to sell us anythig else or get more money from our pockets (as happened so many times to us before on sri lanka). You can rent a bike in this hostel (300 rps/day). I recommend to ride along the lake on Bund road. It is beatiful.
