Great budget option

This accommodation is very good value for money. It has a nice garden and you'll get a room with en-suite bath room(warm shower) for only 7 usd. The host is very sweet and she can cook you a nice dinner if you want. She only speaks some basic English, but for us this was no problem. Only remark I want to make is that it is better to not book a safari with them. Her brother wanted to charge us 7000 LKR. We decided to stick with one of the random jeeps (found in the village) for 4000 LKR.

Amazing Amazing Amazing !!!

I loved this guesthoust !! The family who owns it is wonderful, amazing people, make you feel so welcome !! Priyangani (the owner) is a wonderful woman and host !!
The food was excellent too !!
Everything was super clean and the water pressure in the bathroom was so good..the best that I experimented in Sri Lanka so far !!
So hammocks add there too chill too.
Not too far from the National Park.
Very good value for money !
I highly recommended !

Super friendly hosts!

We heard about this place through a friend. The best part was the owner and manager. We arrived later in the evening, without proper adapters to plug in our electronics, and without us even asking them, they ran out and bought some for us to use. The food there was delicious (though it took a little while for them to cook). Poshitha, the manager, was amazingly friendly and kind and helped us learn some Sinhalese words that would come in useful for us.
I would wholeheartedly recommend staying here if you're going to go on a safari the next day.
(Just a general hint - make sure you're very very clear as to the total price of the safari. You must pay for the driver/jeep as well as the entry fee into the park. Make sure you know if it's per person or in total for your group. It took a little communication but they very helpfully clarified it for us at the guesthouse.)
And the price was great!
