a good one-night stopover before a safari, with a friendly welcome and a Max who is very sales-oriented in his role as a representative,
* An ideal stopover to do the safari early the next morning.
* The pool is very pleasant, clean, and allows you to relax after the safari.
* Max is very present to organize the next day's safari. He is a true salesman for his establishment: he knows how to highlight activities, advise, and organize the stay with a lot of energy.
* The proposed safari is well organized, even if there was less life in the park during this July period.
* The room is simple but clean.
* The evening meal is good and hearty, even if the price is accordingly.
* Nearby, it is possible to see the baby elephants being fed milk around 6:00 PM, an interesting experience.
The disadvantages
* The place is mainly a practical stopover for the safari: there is not much to do around it.
* A single night is more than enough to enjoy the place.
* The safari remains decent, but the month of July is not the most favorable time to observe many animals.
* The encounter with the baby elephants is very short (about 15 minutes) and feels quite commercial with an entrance fee.

Racist owner made my wife cry
Turns out the owner is racist and has a racist policy against letting any Sri Lankans stay in his guesthouse. He told me with a straight face that 99% of Sri Lankans can’t behave and always cause trouble. And that he “only lets Europeans stay” he made “an exception for my wife and her family” after we complained. He “apologised” but not for being racist to my wife and her family but simply for making us upset. He in no way would accept that his policy is wrong and racist.
He made my wife very upset and made her family feel unwelcome. As we could not get a refund for the rooms, and the obligatory booking of the safari tour with him, we bit our tongues and stayed the night. We left as soon as we had gone on the safari and did not stay for the two nights we had booked. As we obviously didn’t feel comfortable staying at this persons establishment.
tl;dr
Owner is racist and everyone should avoid this place.
P.S.
The chicken was dry and the showers had very bad water pressure.
