Hotel butterfly jewel

We were supposed to be staying at the Daffodil Hotel, but the day we arrived, it turned out to be a construction site. And we were welcomed by Neil, which we didn't regret one bit. Wonderful location away from the main road, 2 minutes walk from Unawatuna Beach. You can also walk to jungle beach, walk through the jungle for 20 minutes. We loved it all, delicious breakfasts, lovely rooms. Neil gave us advice on all the issues: on the beautiful places to visit, the excursions , where it is more profitable to buy. With him, our holiday was spent in comfort. Everything was great. I suggest this hotel.

Comfortable villa next to the ocean. In the mornings the birds sing.

A very cosy villa in the centre of Unawatuna with a small garden on the grounds and a hospitable host Neill.Every morning Neill made delicious breakfasts for us with fragrant Ceylon tea and a variety of exotic fruits for dessert.The villa has everything for a comfortable stay and Neill can always get any information and his help on any issue.The villa has a good location in the village.We recommend tourists to rent this villa.We vacationed from November 28 to December 6, 2024 there and we really enjoyed it.

Great guesthouse

Very kind host. We were looking for two rooms very last minute because the hotel reserved on booking no longer existed. He had a room and went around to his neighbors to find us a second place to live.
Comfortable room with good bedding and efficient air conditioning. Pretty terrace. Quiet accommodation but well located.
Only 3 rooms so intimate. Delicious breakfast.
I recommend with your eyes closed.

Very warm experience

One of the most exciting memory about Unawatuna and Sri Lanka in this place. Neel created a very warm atmosphere here. His place is great - situated 7 minutes away from the beach in quite lane. We spent 2,5 weeks in one of the room enjoing very tasty breakfast Neel cooked himself and help with every our need

November 2023.

Two years later they returned to Butterfly Jewel. And again Neil surprised with his hospitality and sincere interest in what he was doing. During this time, the rooms received a hairdryer, a safe, and some had a refrigerator (in addition to the common one in the fully equipped kitchen). Thank you for the delicious breakfasts and dinners, for the daily cleaning and help in all matters. We will definitely return.
