Nice and quiet hotel right on the beach

Nice, quiet and very well maintained hotel with 8 rooms right on the beach. We spent 9 relaxing days here as a family. We had the family suite with 2 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms which was more than generous. Refrigerator with minibar, free drinking water, German sockets and daily cleaning make the stay very pleasant. Breakfast is good and you can also have lunch and dinner. Other restaurants are within walking distance via the beach or the village street. Excursions, taxis can be easily booked through Guido and paid via PayPal. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The muezzin next door can be heard, but it didn't bother us. We can recommend the hotel to others.

Dream holiday in Zanzibar!

Villa Malaika,
a pearl on the island of Zanzibar. Small, but a great paradise where you can really feel infinitely comfortable. It consists of two large Zanzibar-style bungalow houses, each with two and three apartments. We were allowed to spend four days here and felt very comfortable with five, three adults, two children. We had direct access to the sea and since the villa is located a bit away from the larger hotels, you will not be bothered here in any way and pool can feel very comfortable while swimming as well as sunbathing. The Billa Malaika team is very accommodating, so almost every wish is read from your eyes and you feel like I can stay here from morning to night, here I am a welcome guest. We had half board and also partly ate lunch in the villa, the food was very tasteful, balanced and always very, very freshly prepared. Almost everything on the map we could try and were never disappointed. The only mistake I made is that I ordered a 1000 g Lobster, which was excusius, but unfortunately I could not eat it completely (500 grams would have done it too ! On the second day, we booked a Blue Safari trip through Guido, our very relaxed and friendly and attentive hotel manager, another highlight of our stay in Zanzibar, because the trip to the southwest tip of the island alone, as well as the subsequent trip by boat, first for snorkeling and then to a Sandy Island, where we were then deliciously served with a see food lunch, was an excellent highlight. Arrived back in the villa in the afternoon. then we were allowed to enjoy the pool and the peace there until the early evening. The one-hour massage is also highly recommended here, you can choose from a wide variety of massages and relax from head to toe depending on your needs! Guido, the hotel manager and his team have indeed left nothing missing, and so we have been able to experience four wonderful, relaxing days in a truly extremely positively recommended villa and our personal highlight paradise. Many thanks to the whole team of Villa Malaika and hopefully the pictures speak for themselves!!!

A villa in paradise

Villa Malaika is a beautiful little hotel, with the best location, care and well-served. The views are extraordinary, with the most spectacular sunrises imaginable. The beach is great, although subjected to the tremendous tides of Zanzibar. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Starting with Guido, the owner and ending with the cleaning girls always with a smile in their mouth. Healthy asante!

A great time at Villa Malaika

We spent a great week at Villa Malaika. It is a great place to relax and unwind ! For example, in the beautiful garden, right by the beach, on the sun loungers. There is plenty of shade and always a pleasant sea breeze. Everything is very clean: the garden, the pool, the restaurant and the rooms. The restaurant is located outdoors but is covered, which is very pleasant. The restaurant is open non-stop, which means you can have breakfast at any time of the day, which we really enjoyed. The quality of the food is very good, fresh and very well cooked - whether breakfast, snacks or dinner.
Also the wine was good !
We had the suite on the first floor with two bedrooms, an eat-in kitchen (with free drinking water), three bathrooms and a covered terrace with a very nice view of the sea. Perfect for a family or 2 couples. The whole team (staff and manager Guido) is very friendly and attentive. Guido even received us at 3 a.m.
The pictures on the website are very genuine - it really is as described.
Some commentaries criticize the morning prayer. It is true that you can hear it, but it only takes a short time (a few minutes) and therefore really not a real problem.
In the area there are also some local and good small restaurant.
Thank you for the lovely time and so on.

Very good stay for a first immersion in Zanzibar

Location: on the beach, direct access. At high tide: the surf at your feet. You get used to it from the second night... At low tide: the water is far ...
Very pleasant welcome and service
Small hotel with a few rooms
Very good local and international cuisine
Rooms: very large and comfortable beds. Without air conditioning, but in January (summer here), ventilation is enough.
Situation: allows to go anywhere to go anywhere on the island in 1h30.
Very helpful manager who booked all excursions without any problems.
