Awesome stay

Absolutely idyllic spot. The views on the insta v reality are on point!!! It is the most perfect chilling vibe it feels like you have the beach almost to yourself, the air con worked great which was a huge plus! The owners are AMAZING (as are there dogs), they made us feel very welcome and have lots of top tips. Also the food they prepared was the best we had whilst on the island! Lesley and Colin felt like family by the end of the visit as we wished we were staying longer! Will absolutely be returning. So much to do in Nungwi if want to also - Game fish is the perfect base .

Worst stay, ever

The stay at Game Fish Lodge was very poor. The owner is aggressive and completely irrational. I don’t want to say much more, as he harasses anyone who writes negative reviews on TripAdvisor. I just want to warn anyone considering this place: don’t consider it at all, not even for a moment.

Flights to Nungwi

Very friendly lodge at Leslie and Colin who welcomed us with open arms. Thank you for the advice and their friendliness. Breakfasts were great and consistent. It changes big springs. Thank you again.

Relaxation, tranquility and warmth

I spent 4 days at the property with my girlfriend and had a great time. We were looking for a quieter hotel than the more populated Nungwi area and found peace and serenity in the ocean in front of the Fish Lodge. Special thanks to the Leslye and Collin hosts for a special Welcoming.
P.s. It is very close to walkable sandbanks, best spot in northern Zanzibar

If you want 5* luxury don’t go, if you want clean, warm and welcoming - book it now

We had an amazing time.
Pros
Colin and Lesley - they are the warmest welcoming hosts and will offer lots of advice regarding places to go, how much to pay etc. They are good company and we spent many evenings chatting over a drink.
Food - what can I say about the food. Breakfast fills you up for the day consists of pancakes with fresh fruit and a choice of omelettes or English/American breakfast and is included. Colin will cook the most amazing evening meals if requested. The fish is always fresh on the day and the flavours are just sublime. We ate in a few different restaurants - but none compared to the meals we had at Gamefish Lodge.
Location - in a quiet location outside of the hustle and bustle of the main resort but still within easy access.
Simplicity - Gamefish lodge offers clean basic accommodation with amazing views, beach access, swimming pool but with a personal touch which is a nice change to the soulless all inclusive resorts.
