Nice little resort with very clean rooms and friendly staff
The room is very simple but adequately furnished. Everything is super clean and tidy. The breakfast is plentiful and delicious. The staff is super friendly. The location to the beach is great. 2 minutes on foot. The beach area is not the prettiest, but that's not the guesthouse's fault. If you walk along the beach for about 10 minutes, it gets nicer. For example, it takes about 45 minutes to walk along the beach to Kendwa Beach. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the city center. Overall, the complex is very small, so unfortunately there is only the breakfast area and no area to chill out. Price-performance ratio is good here.

Hotel infested with cockroaches – To flee absolutely!

I strongly recommend this hotel! We had booked for two nights, but upon arrival we discovered a massive cockroach infestation in our room. There were them everywhere: on the walls, the bed, the floor... Impossible to stay there, let alone sleep there! We immediately took photos and videos as evidence.
We reported the problem at reception and asked for a refund, but were told to wait until the next day. The next morning, they wasted three hours on the spot, without ever proposing a real solution. In the end, no compromise was reached and they refused to refund us, even though we could not sleep in this unhealthy place!
In addition to that, the manager was very unpleasant, completely closed to dialogue and refusing any responsibility.
⚠️ Do not trust the photos on Booking, they do not reflect reality at all! The establishment is dirty, poorly maintained and infested with insects.
Honestly, if you care about your health and money, avoid this hotel at all costs. A catastrophic experience from start to finish!

Nightmare to flee!!!
An absolutely nightmarish experience! I had booked two nights at this property in Nungwi, Zanzibar, but I had to flee the first night because of a massive infestation of cockroaches in the room. It wasn’t just one or two bugs, but a real invasion that made the stay unhealthy and unlivable. I have videos as evidence, so it is impossible for the owner to deny the reality of the situation.
Speaking of the owner, his behavior was outrageous. Rather than proposing a solution or acknowledging the problem, he was abhorrent, refusing any refund and making no effort to help us. A shameful and dishonest attitude, totally disrespectful to its customers.
If you want a minimum of hygiene and respect, flee this place at all costs! Such an establishment should not even be allowed to accommodate travellers. You must avoid it!

I do not recommend this hotel
Hotel to avoid not for the welcome because nothing to say it is a hotel where you have to pass but not stay too long. Current electricity outage and comfort is not at the top after that it goes with the price. If you like animals you will be served. Cats dog the total. For my part, bad experience

Very poor. Do not stay
I opted for 2/5 despite thinking a 1 might be more appropriate. But I wanted to make this as balanced and fair a review as possible.
But in brief I recommend you do not choose this place!!!!
It's cheap, but there's better value options in the area.
The room has an adequate bed, but the fans have a minimal effect (at best). It's painfully hot in there and lends to a poor sleep.
The drinking water is of a very poor quality, tasting quite unpleasant. We never experienced the same anywhere else in Zanzibar.
The room included breakfast but based upon the general standard within the place I opted against trying it.
The WiFi internet was almost non existent, but the staff who sit outside seem to be quite able to stream internet and TV etc. This is the location they keep the router. They could move it to a place within the accommodation so that the paying customers (or install a booster) but they opt to serve the person on reception who does nothing other than glare at their mobile phone. We got a better welcome from the cat and dog.
My biggest criticsm is against the owner/manager. This is because all of the issuess I've mentioned could be easily sorted if he bothered to consider his paying customers. But sadly that is a miss and explains the failings witij the place.
The guy is rude, patronising and not helpful in anyway. This was the only poor experience we had from anybody in Zanzibar so was even more disappointing. If you're going to stay, have dollars at hand. He tried the ages old trick of not having a card reader. He naturally accepts cash, but if you pay in Tanzania Schilling he uses a conversion at a rate he makes up.
Hey, it's not fortunes, but it's the attitude from him that really leaves a bitter taste.
As I say I've tried to be as balanced as possible but do not stay here.
