Perfect stopover for our gastronomic visit

I recently visited Algarinejo with 6 friends from the UK to dine at the sensational Bar Piolas, and 3 of us had decided to postpone the winding journey home until the following day. We had therefore arranged to stay at La Casa de Maria, which as far as we could see was the only hotel in town, and things could not have turned out better.
This fine old building, set in the corner of the main square and just a short stroll
from Piolas, is attractively and interestingly decorated. Each one of our rooms was spotlessly clean and well-appointed - offering a generous and comfortable bed with nice linen, a spacious ensuite bathroom, and newly installed A/C.
Although the accommodation is not attended, the owner was assiduous in liaising, providing directions, and arranging for us to be greeted on arrival. I also noted a comprehensive list of phone numbers so I have no doubt an instant response is guaranteed if ever required. Just a few steps away there is a friendly bar with outdoor seating overlooking the pretty square and ancient church - the bar opens at 8:00am so coffee and breakfast are also assured!
We all thoroughly enjoyed the ambience, convenience and comfort of this hotel in this refreshingly tourist-free town - ideal when combined with the unforgettable experience of visiting the international-class Piolas. We all resolved to repeat the experience at the next opportunity.

A wonderful house in the middle of this little city Algarinejo.

Just 11 rooms all newly restored in a respectable way according to this old house.
Our room was on the second floor with view to the square. It is situated near by the excellent restaurant in Algarinejo.

Encantados

Hemos estado una semana en las fiestas de Algarinejo y decidimos escojer este alojamiento para pasar estos dias.
Ha sido perfecto de principio a fin. Nos han hecho sentir como en casa. Con todos los detalles para hacerte viajar en el tiempo con la historia del pueblo. Decoración, limpieza y atención impecables.
Situado en el mismo centro de la oferta de restaurantes y tapeo q ofrece el pueblo y de los accesos de las fantásticas rutas rurales.

Hotel con encanto

Nos hemos alojado en este bonito hotel para asistir a la boda de unos amigos que se celebraba justo al lado, la verdad es que tal y cómo esperábamos tras ver la fachada... Aguardaba un bonito hotel con encanto. Una casa señorial adaptada a hotel pero con el encanto de los detalles de esas casas de pueblo de toda la vida... Nos hemos quedado con las ganas de visitar la bodega... Pero intentaremos volver. Sorprende que siendo un pequeño hotelito tenga bastantes amenities (alguno de Rituals), cosa que hoteles de más estrellas y cadenas famosas no tienen el detalle, se agradece. La habitación que nos tocó muy bonita decorada y limpia, sin duda un buen lugar para pasar un fin de semana
