Short break

Quick 3 night break booked through Easy Jet packages. Booked Sea view apartment for 3 people and was given one on the top floor, ( 8th floor). Wow, what a view, as everyone has said this is the real selling point of this hotel. Huge private balcony with table and 4 chairs. Some sunbeds could of fitted on there so the hotel is missing a trick there. Room is very, very small. Sofa bed did not look great but son said it was ok. Had to ask 3 times to get bedding for it. Bedroom just had a tiny space to get round the bottom of the bed but had to turn sideways, bit awkward if getting up in the night. Mattress a bit hard so after asking for a mattress topper and getting a negative answer I put a quilt that was in the wardrobe under the bottom sheet and that helped. Small kitchen area but we only want a kettle so not an issue for us. Room was clean including the bathroom but some wear and tear, missing bits of architrave round doors etc. Air conditioning was good but the unit in the living area started leaking towards the end of the break. I would rate the room 3 stars at a push with a 5 star view, we might of struggled if staying a week due to the size.
Rest of hotel was spotless, staff were all lovely. Food was excellent, we were totally self catering but paid for the buffet breakfast one day which had enough choice and had lunch twice. Didn't stay in of an evening so can't comment on any entertainment.
Pool area is too small for size of hotel and sunbeds are an issue. You won't get one if not there before 9 and that would probably be on the grass. Probably 8am for around the pool. We knew we had to pay for beds before we went which we think is totally wrong. Stayed in a lot of hotels and never ever had that before.
I had heard it was because people not staying can use the pool which if correct needs to be stopped as it isn't a big enough area for the guests. You could police guests by using a simple wristband as the hotel is quite open to the front as the walkway in front of the sea is just in front and hotel is not fenced off. We knew the large beach was on the doorstep and so wasn't a deal breaker for us as short stay but think is something that should be looked at. Somebody comes around at lunch time to take the fee for beds, I think 3.50 euros per bed but if you are not on your sunbed you may not pay so bit hit and miss....
Beds on the beach are expensive. It was 27 euros for 3 beds and a palapa, so think 20 for 2 and palapa. There is a lockable box on palapa also so that is good. Huge wide beach so never crowded.
Lots of great restaurants in resort and loads of bars and hotel is in a good situation to get to everywhere.
Weather was great and view was gorgeous so we had a good break, hence 4 stars given but room does not warrant that star rating.

Not the best

Filthy stained mattress. Hotel basic can’t complain for what we paid. Location is ok but the dirty beds let it down massively. Also 3 nights not seen one maid and towels hadn’t been changed once. Pillows so uncomfortable woke up with headaches

Horrible

Never done a review before but there are better places for your money we paid 600 thinking we had a one bed apartment which was advertised....we ended up with a studio looking at the wall. We tried updating this in the app but it wouldn't let us upgrade. the room was small smelly but we managed myself I would have booked another hotel. The pool was filthy you couldn't get a sunbed so we went to beach everyday the apartment was awful the worst place I have stayed. There was a lot of people we spoke to that upgraded the roumers are they put you down there first so you complain and then want to charge another 230 euro for a better room this would have cost us nearly 900 pounds for self catering...don't waste you're.money better hotels and nicer places in majorca.

Great holiday

We stayed at this hotel for a week and overall had a great holiday.
The hotel is in a very good location, close to the beach and shops, and it is kept very clean throughout. Our room had a beautiful sea view, and the restaurant food was really nice. Breakfast was good, although it could have been served a little warmer.
A special mention goes to the animation team, Georgia and Erin, who were excellent throughout our stay. They were very welcoming and helped create a great atmosphere. We would also like to thank Rameiro in the restaurant, who was always friendly, helpful, and provided excellent service.
The cleaning staff were amazing, always polite, cheerful, and did a fantastic job.
There were a few negatives. We were disappointed to have to pay €3.50 per day for a sunbed, which added extra costs that we had not budgeted for. When we arrived, our room did not have the sea view we expected and instead overlooked a large wall. We ended up paying an additional €210 to upgrade to a room with a better view, which was another unexpected expense. The pull-out bed was also very uncomfortable, and I found the sofa itself more comfortable to sleep on.
Despite these issues, we had a wonderful week and enjoyed our stay. The excellent staff, cleanliness, food, and location made for a very enjoyable holiday.

A Really Lovely Stay

We stayed here the last few days of May and first 8 days in June, so I am a bit late writing this review but I could not let the moment pass. The hotel is really lovely if not a little dated but we didn't mind. Our room was very Clean, Bright and Airy and a very good size. The view from our room was amazing I read the reviews and people saying get a sea view but I totally was not prepared for how amazing it is . ( get a Sea view) The staff are so friendly and work ever so hard and nothing' is too much trouble. The Animation Team were complete stars' though they had a bit of a hard time getting Bodies off sun Lounges and Bums off seats to take part in various activity's and Games i.e. Archery, Rifle shooting. My husband found it a good laugh and a great way to meet people.
We were breakfast only which was very satisfying and items regularly topped up. overall we liked The Globales Verdemar Apartments so much we have booked to go back around the same time next year :) really looking forward to it.
