Couples holiday

This hotel is lovely!! In such a great location. About a 4-5 minute walk to some good nightlife and around 15 minutes to the square.
The hotel was always super clean and tidy. The rooms were a little dated and small but still clean, lovely and the beds were super comfy! The cleaners came in everyday to tidy up and give us fresh towels.
It felt like a friendly atmosphere and all staff were so nice and happy to help.
Such great value for money. The food is the best food I’ve had in an all inclusive. Huge selection and soooo tasty! The drink selection is also amazing!! The cocktails were INCREDIBLE!! Long queues did form in the evening but moved quite quickly and the staff were always working really hard.
We loved the roof top bar/pool as it was quieter and better suited for us as a couple. They have really comfortable beds and beanbags to sit on around the pool. There is a great little bar up on the roof top too.
Had such a lovely time and will definitely be returning.

Feels like home

Our third visit and this hotel never fails. We are welcomed from the minute we arrive. The food choices are varied and excellent. Love the Al fresco restaurant too. So close to the beach and shops /bars

Dear cathl636,
Many thanks for your review.
It is wonderful to hear that your third stay with us felt just like coming home. We are delighted that our team made you feel welcome from the moment you arrived.
The variety and quality of our dining options, including the open-air restaurant, clearly hit the mark for you. Knowing that our location made it easy to reach the beach and the nearby shops and bars is also lovely to hear.
We look forward to welcoming you back.

10-night Summer Stay

We stayed here for 10 nights at the end of July/early August, as a family of 3 - our son being aged 7. We had a solid “good” experience overall. The hotel had a number of positives that we felt made our trip memorable, however a number of things that we also felt needed addressing for us to personally consider coming back in the near future…
The highlights for us were:
- Fantastic, central location with Santa Ponsa on your doorstep (beach & plenty of shops, supermarkets, bars, restaurants).
- Staff - all the staff that we spoke to were friendly, welcoming and helpful. The hotel management were always very visible, which we thought was important and not something you always see at other establishments!
- Food & drink - the quality
on offer was great. Super selection to choose from; always fresh and nicely presented. The snack bar at lunch is waiter service where you order from a set menu, however there is also the option of the buffet lunch at the main restaurant. The drinks at night were served in proper glasses & the frozen strawberry daiquiris were amazing! We also booked the à la carte restaurant & the food was delicious, so well worth making a visit to!
- Animation Team - the 3 entertainers worked hard & Antonio’s ‘unique’ water aerobics routines were a real treat around the pool! They were all very chatty & good fun, but without being pushy - they brought an uplifting vibe & energy to the hotel.
- We always had hot water to shower in of an evening & the room came with a free safety deposit box, as we were in a premium room. Towels & bedding were changed frequently and the maid came in daily. We also had some complimentary chilled drinks left in the fridge on our arrival, and a bottle of Prosecco on my birthday, which was a nice touch! Towels were changed daily & bedding regularly.
- Pool towels were provided with swapping days as Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings upto 12 noon at the lifeguard station. The times for towel exchange were rigid.
- Sunbeds - these do get quickly occupied in a morning with the hotel being so busy (we found by 8/8:15am most loungers were gone). However, the lifeguard does have a strict timing system in place that we felt was a real incentive to preventing guests from reserving empty beds for lengthy periods. It’s a shame more hotels don’t always have this place, as it was a bonus.
-A great little place to eat out in resort was an American-style restaurant called ‘Fat Sam’s’. If you like American food, then we’d highly recommend this place for a meal.
The areas we feel let our own experience down as a family holiday:
- Entertainment program - there was nothing to cater for children (no kids club, activities or mini disco). We should have done more research into this before booking, so this is our fault, however because it was a Zafiro hotel that are usually fully tailored towards families, we wrongly assumed that the entertainment would include all ages.
-There’s no music played around the pool area during the day, so some guests were playing their own music to break the silence. We aren’t at all suggesting loud tunes blaring around the pool ourselves, but we felt some minimal background music would have been welcomed by most and lifted the summer holiday atmosphere - and stopped several lots of different music being played instead by guests.
-The hotel itself is dated & definitely in need of a refresh. It was clean & comfortable however, but it just needs some quality TLC to spruce it up! There was a large crack in the glass pane on the staircase at Reception and other noticeably visible signs of wear & tear throughout, which we felt needed addressing to improve the appearance.
-- Bar service - the queue at the hotel bar was absolutely ridiculous of an evening. It appeared that there were too many guests for the limited number of staff serving on the bar. Several times we waited at the bar for around 15-20 minutes at a time for our cocktails. In fact, we are convinced we spent most of our evenings in the queue for a drink, than actually sat down together enjoying a drink! I’ve never been to another hotel where you wait so long to get two drinks.
- Bedroom - personally we felt our room was small for the 3 of us and all the suitcases. The walls were very thin & you can hear everything from all angles! Although the maids came in daily & cleaned the room well, we did notice that the balcony didn’t seem to get touched - we had two dead mosquitoes left on the floor for a number of days before we left. Also, on arrival, we let ourselves in & noticed we had ants in the room. I reported the problem & the cleaner came to spray, but this didn’t get rid of them. I reported this a second time, the following morning, as they were in the bathroom & by one of the beds. Reception said they would make sure the room had a ‘deep clean’ this time, to which the ants thankfully did then go, but it made me question why this hadn’t happened before we had checked-in?
-Finally, we didn’t ever notice the pool area being thoroughly cleaned, beyond the empty glasses being collected & the bins emptied. We spoke to other guests who also had noticed the same about the general cleanliness of the area. The sun loungers & the floor around the pool itself - for us - should be being hosed down/cleaned daily, yet there was spillages & things on the floor that were still there the next day. We noticed a sunbed time card for 4–days consecutively in the same spot on the side of the pool floor, before one of the animation team picked it up.
Overall, I think the hotel is perfectly situated. It is an establishment with lots of potential and where all the staff are the most pleasant we’ve ever experienced across a whole team. We did enjoy our stay & had we been visiting as a couple would have possibly found it better suiting.

Food good, location great, staff friendly

Friendly staff throughout the hotel. For an all inclusive hotel, the buffet food was good although not very hot. Lunchtime restaurant by the pool was a nice place to go and be served. The rooms are ok, very tired, thin walls and a shower over the bath. Despite this we loved our stay and would think about returning.
