Staying at hotel America was like staying in a Soviet era tower block in Moscow in the 1970s.
My room was very cold and I had to request heating to be put on. Even with the extra (old and grubby) blanket I was cold all night. The room has probably not been updated since the building was constructed so the bright blue bathroom suite with missing plugs was like something from the 1970s.
On the positive side, public areas are clean and up-to-date and the staff are pleasant.
The amount charged by this hotel is probably influenced by the fact that there are few hotels in the area.
This is not value for money and I would avoid staying here if at all possible.

Lack of supervision.

The rooms are spacious and clean, and the bathroom, although a little old, is in good condition. However, the main problem of the hotel is the lack of supervision in the bar-cafeteria, which is a real chaos. For morning coffee, you should wait in a long line for more than fifteen minutes. Service is poor, treatment is unkind and the organization is lousy.

Poor care in the cafeteria.

The hotel is clean and the rooms, although a little old, are spacious and in good condition.
However, the bar-cafeteria is a complete disaster due to the Dismal Service and the lack of professionalism. It seems the staff has no one to guide and train him.
To get a simple coffee, you have to line up for about fifteen minutes, and they serve it to you reluctantly. Also, if dirty dishes are already on the table, they serve you your coffee without removing them first. It's a terrible Service.

ROOMS NEED SERIOUS ATTENTION, POOR FACILITIES

The entrance and eating area are nice but sadly that's where the niceties end, rooms smell of sewerage, seriously dirty and old fashioned air conditioning that's so loud you can't use it, had to ask for a fan as it was so hot, no kettle in room either,booked bed & breakfast but the selection is very poor, choice of ham or cheese sub type roll and 1 small croissant/chocolate pastry with a glass of orange juice, coffee, tea and water also available, very over priced with the choice and state of room no kettle etc in room, I would not choose to stay here again

If you are looking to rest is not your hotel

The staff is excellent, the blonde lady reception, bar, restaurant,..... Behaved very well, I think lack staff the women should multiply everywhere, the bar is very good and well priced, the restaurant I do not recommend, scarce menu and little variety, but to get out of the way is fine, the spacious and clean room, but if you want to rest is literally impossible, the air conditioning is from prehistory and makes a tremendous noise and if you stop it you grill heat and then it is the one in the next room that does not let you sleep, we were two nights without sleep, it is expensive for the level of rest it offers, despite the excellent staff I do not think we will ever return. A shame.
