Very good stay

Very good stay, we came from a bad experience in a fatal rural house in the same village of Martos.
And we were lucky to find a room for three at this hotel and the truth is that we have been great everything very clean both rooms and the whole hotel, and good breakfast. If we come back we'll surely repeat here. Thank you.

Improper charge for cancellation

I canceled the reservation 24 hours in advance because of a family problem. ,At the time of booking my credit card was charged the equivalent of 30% of the reservation as a guarantee and in case of cancellation no such charge was refunded. Up to this point, okay. The bad thing is that the next day I receive a charge for the entire reservation as a penalty according to the property's cancellation policy. Policy that does not appear on your website or on the bill of charge. In view of my disagreement the response of the stalemate was "you are right, nowhere in the mails I put the cancellation, I apologize, I put it last night" (evidently after charging in full). As of today, the aforementioned policy continues to be absent.
In addition, as a consumer right I send an official claim form to be signed and to follow procedure in the Andalusian Government and without reply (they are obliged to do so). If you plan to book, make sure you have no family circumstances, health, etc. and come. Otherwise you know he'll wait for you. It would be my turn to continue to claim my consumer rights

Enjoyed our visit, and friendly staff

This is a review of the hotel bar, not the actual hotel.
We have been here many times over the years, always a pleasant and comfortable place to enjoy a quiet drink, and good to see the place unchanged after the pandemic.
The bar is decorated with bullfighting memorabillia as the hotel stands next to the long-disused bullring.

Traditional Spanish decorated hotel run by a lovely spanish family

Furnishing throughout the hotel are traditional spanish, beautiful solid wood furniture and marble flooring. Very helpful staff, although our spanish is limited theyhelped us with everything we needed. Rooms were well furnished and decorated. The hotel is in easy walking distance of the town which has plenty of bars and restaurants.

Brilliant family run hotel with masses of authentic character

When I read reviews complaining about "the reception is not manned taking extra time" I am totally bemused as to what sort of deranged person writes such twaddle. What planet are these people on.
This is a family affair and really special. Yes it is "Spanish". Possibly that is because it is in Spain!
Very clean rooms, plenty of hot water. Nice bathrooms and a charming family running it. Fabulous value. It is not a Hilton or any of these other ghastly chain hotels - thank goodness. What it is is a very good 3 star hotel with 5 star quality in its public rooms. We loved it.
