Beautiful hotel on a beautiful beach.
I absolutely cannot understand the negative reviews of late. Or something fundamental has changed. For the staff at the front desk is competent and helpful, the service in the restaurant is really good, especially June deserves a mention. The food is very good with a large selection. The price-performance ratio is acceptable. Noon and Heart as bartenders are excellent. The rooms are absolutely clean. You are on an island without mass tourism! Enjoy that and don't complain so much.

Koh Kood
We booked a package deal that included squid fishing and snorkeling. The resort rooms are a bit old, but it wasn't a problem for relaxation. Breakfast was decent, nothing special. The swimming pool is right next to the beach, and there's a bar in the evening where you can have drinks. The staff here are lovely, answering questions and giving good advice. The rooms are not far from the lobby and the beach, and you can walk to nearby cafes on the beach. Overall, if you don't like crowds, it's a comfortable place to stay.

Good experience in Koh Kood
We stayed in Koh Kood in December 2025 in one of the villas offered by this very good property!
Pros:
- The premises are really nice and clean / beautiful pool
-The small villas are very nice with nice TVs. Bathroom top.
- Ease of renting a scooter (no deposit requested, available directly at reception for 300 baht)
- The overall aesthetic of the hotel is very friendly
- Some restaurants are 5 minutes by scooter from the hotel which is convenient. The most beautiful beaches of the island are 15/20 minutes maximum by scooter.
Areas of improvement:
-Changing the quality of the breakfast could really improve the hotel's standing. That's all that's missing!
- The dinners offered by the hotel remain very expensive for Thailand. But you can rent a scooter at the reception and explore the island's restaurants!

Location top - ambient flop. Nice resort. Unfortunately unfriendly staff. Food deficientService staff insufficient.
Well located resort. Fantastic beach. Sea turquoise blue. Food deficient. Staff is unfriendly - no thai smile.

Disappointing
I wouldn’t normally have reviewed this hotel, as overall it was fairly unremarkable. However, our experience upon checkout and departure changed that.
We settled a large final bill by credit card and also booked a private taxi transfer from the hotel to Bangkok. Our paperwork clearly indicated that everything had been paid in full.
When we arrived at the ferry port, we were unexpectedly told we needed to pay an additional 1,000 baht, with no clear explanation. The check-in staff were abrupt and unhelpful, and after around ten minutes of confusion and discussion, they eventually let us board.
Just as the boat was about to depart, we were approached again—this time quite aggressively—with the hotel staff on speakerphone. We were told the 1,000 baht was for a moped rental that had not been included in our final bill. We had reasonably assumed that all outstanding charges had been settled at checkout.
The hotel then claimed they only accept cash for moped rentals, which felt questionable given they had accepted card payments for everything else. As we had no cash on us, we offered to pay electronically if they could send a payment link, but this was refused. Instead, we were told to pay at the boat office on the mainland.
While we were on the boat, the hotel continued messaging via WhatsApp, eventually sending a payment link along with an explanation that the night staff had failed to record the return of the bike. We paid the 1,000 baht via the email link they provided.
If this had been communicated clearly and professionally from the start, the situation could have been resolved quickly and without any stress. Instead, we were shouted at, pressured for payment in a public setting, and repeatedly harassed with inconsistent information.
While we understand that mistakes can happen, the way this situation was handled was completely inappropriate. For a hotel that cost approximately £850 for four nights—plus a substantial checkout bill—we expected a far higher standard of professionalism and respect.
I would not recommend staying here. There are many better options on Koh Kood for the same price or less.
