Good choice

Very nice hotel, room a bit small with a view on the city, bed are comfortable. All is clean and well maintained. Staff is helpful and friendly. Breakfast has very large choice. Fitness and pool available.

Exactly what you paid for

Its the really musty smell that killed it for me. The entire buidling. Like a senior center or worse. If your from a large city the old brick tenaments smell that grandmas lived in. The advertisements on here described it as close to airport..(Suvarnbhumi) It is not!! It is not 17 km away. Even taxi driver shook his head when we told him that. Taxi ride slow during traffic hours returning at night is fine. About 30 mins. I have been in and out of asia 25 years, This seems to be a hotel catering to the Thai night crowd. The "love bar" downstairs and lots of safe sex items on display in room. ( which I guess is a good thing) Old style locks on doors. Lots of noise in halls from local partiers. Im gonna say no on this one for a future stay. The town right next to the airport about 7 km has places in same price range. I didnt do my homework with location on this one. Not gonna save much when you include taxi fare. AC kept going in and out on cooling. Very limiting plugs in room nothing close to bed for your phone.

Staying.

They are nice people. Made us feel comfortable. We had communication gap so we faced minor problems in ordering room service. But room and bathroom are nice. Especially the bathroom has hand shower which is rare to come by in Thailand and which is a must have for people like me who are from Bangladesh or that area.
Over all it has it's pro's and con's but is a good place to stay with a bouncy bed.

Well Worth a Stay

I see many people try to bag this place out so here are the facts :) Its a budget hotel at just 490b per night, the rooms are clean and large, its close to transport (Boat 5 min walk, taxi and bikes out the front), plenty of close food choices, 35min from the airport, 45 min from central BKK, 5 min from a large shopping centre and all the on site facilities you would expect so in our opinions its a great place to stay.....If you are expecting 5 star, central BKK, forget it. If you want honest accommodation then this is the one. A few things to remember in Thailand...many restaurants add a service fee, we call it GST, VAT etc so don't complain about it, its a fact of life. The Hotel is not siting on the train systems BUT the ""Fast Boat" system is 5 min walk or just 10b on a bike with a major shopping centre just 45b by taxi. When in Thailand do as he locals do and enjoy the place...its that simple. Standard rooms have 24hrs free wifi BUT Superior rooms have all free wifi so spend the extra couple of dollars if wifi is that important or grab a cheap dtac sim from the local Tesco. Bottom line...this is a great stay and a crazy low price so put it on your list :)

A Few Inconveniences

The room itself was very large, well air-conditioned and had a nice balcony too. The bed was clean and comfortable. I could not complain about the price either to be fair, I would say it is fine for an overnight or 2 night stay at most though. There is a sneaky 300 baht key deposit which is not mentioned at all on the website so beware. The location is not central Bangkok which may not suit some travellers but it is situated in a quiet and secure neighbourhood only a 30 minute taxi ride to Khao San Road which suited us just fine. Perhaps my biggest complaint would be the wifi situation. WiFi is provided but only for the first 24 hours of your stay and limited to one device, then you have to pay quite a steep price. Overall, it wasn't a bad place to stay but I would advise you to weigh out the pros and cons of this place before booking.
