A wonderful nostalgic dinner with great food and service!

I recently had dinner at Opal House twice, and it was a fantastic experience both times. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the prices were very reasonable.
On top of the great meal, it was incredibly special and fun for me to return to the exact place where I stayed during my very first trip to Jomtien 30 years ago. Highly recommended for both the great food and the lovely atmosphere!

So disappointing..very poor service

Location fabulous! Let down by the appalling staff! Just so rude and disinterested.....we have been 3 times..once for food (not good!), twice more for drinks.....and questioned ourselves "WHY?? ".....last night i didn't even tip....a 1st for us in Thailand !
After waiting ages to catch someone's eye....we ordered a vodka & coke and a Baileys.....the response from the waitress was a very irritated "what?!?" I then got the menu out and pointed....and got a grunt back! The V&C was ok.....the Baileys was the smallest measure I have ever seen ever.....prob about 10ml with a blob of ice.....and it was NOT Baileys....I wish I had photographed it as it was beyond belief.
There are so many lovely bars along the front with the same amazing view, where u will be welcomed in with a genuine smile.....please try any of them over The Opal House

I booked late so just took the 2 rooms available for myself and my son. We were there for 3 weeks and 4 days and got the rooms at £20 per night through Expedia which was the cheapest option on a multi list.No seaview but clean and tidy rooms with bottled water left every day in fridge.Nice staff.Great restaurant. Hotel opposite the beach and short walk to Bars, Bureau de Change, night markets etc. Would stay there again no problem. Thanks.

Very OK

Was quite ok, the location is just what annoys is the clairvoyance of the rooms, the room girl has unfortunately made herself felt every morning from 8:30 am
