Perfect hotel for an archipelago weekend in January
The archipelago in January is magnificent, with beach, forest, wind, sea, snow and ice. The sailing hotel is a very convenient place to stay to experience this. The room was tastefully decorated, with nice colors and good function. Breakfast was excellent. Lunch and dinner were also very good. The staff was very friendly.

Expensive hotel without comfortable accommodation
If you want to sleep well, or at all, this hotel is not for you.
We had a room from Sunday to Monday. Just before midnight, we woke up to very loud music coming from the hotel's roof terrace opposite our room.
It was impossible to fall asleep again. There was no one at the hotel reception at night and when we finally reached the person by phone, were told that there are discos almost every night, so there was nothing to do about it but wait until 2 a.m. when it ended. We asked for another room, but she told us that it was impossible to change rooms.
The music did stop before 1 a.m., but the harm was done and it took a long time to fall asleep again after all this. If the hotel plays music so loudly at night that it disturbs its guests like this, they should inform about the noise in advance when booking. When checking in, make sure your room is not located on the same side as the roof terrace.
When we checked out of the hotel, we complained about this and person promised to forward the matter to the hotel manager, who would contact us. Four days have now passed and we still haven't been contacted. It feels like this hotel doesn't really care about customer satisfaction.
Another thing: there isn't AC or even proper ventilation in the hotel rooms. There is only ventilation in the bathroom, so the room was very warm and the air felt heavy, even though it wasn't even hot outside.
One good thing: dinner at the hotel restaurant was excellent. It's a pity that the hotel lacks competence in its main purpose.
Sandhamn itself is a very beautiful island. The nature is worth a visit.

You are absolutely right that being able to sleep well is the most basic part of a hotel stay, and in this case we clearly did not deliver on that. Loud music late at night should not disturb our hotel guests in the way you describe, and if there is any risk of noise affecting certain rooms, this needs to be handled much better by us — both in advance and during the stay.
I am also very sorry that you were told the matter would be forwarded to hotel management and that no one contacted you afterwards. That is not good enough, and I fully understand why it made you feel that we did not care. We should have followed up with you directly.
Regarding the room temperature and ventilation, thank you for raising this as well. Our rooms do not have air conditioning, and we understand that this can affect comfort, especially when the air feels still or heavy. This is something we take seriously when looking at how we can improve the guest experience.
I am glad to hear that you enjoyed dinner in our restaurant and that you appreciated Sandhamn and the nature around the island. But I also understand that this does not make up for a poor night’s sleep.
Once again, I am very sorry for your experience. We will follow this up internally with the team, both regarding late-night noise, room allocation, guest communication and our follow-up routines after a complaint.

Hotel away from the beach but very near to other amenities
This is a beautiful hotel located on the mainland of Sandhamn and little far from the beach. Although it is far from the beach, it is still a good choice as it has a lot of restaurants, some grocery shops, ferry points etc in walking distance. That is what makes this hotel a convenient stay.

No breakfast incl for villas is bad!
1200 per night for a Villa and it does not include breakfast not acceptable

Wrote a review about this beautiful hotel earlier. forgot to share pictures from this year. Has been renovated recently and is very fresh and tasteful. Fantastic environment, nice rooms, comfortable beds and fresh newly renovated bathrooms. Also top service! The staff is amazing. Several evenings have live DJ and the music is at a very high level!
