Lovely relaxing 2 day stay, rooms lovely and staff really friendly. The Pub is a lively place for a drink and great food. Really

Lovely friendly stay, so helpful. Rooms luxurious with great facilities. Great heritage photos in the lift. The Pub a relaxing place for a drink and meal.
Stayed 2 nights between a boat trip. Staff so friendly, letting us leave luggage in secure room until we returned. Rooms were 1 on back and 1 front both with great views, balcony and espresso machine, fridge, great place.
Helped with reasonable price transport from and to Proserpine.
Highly recommended all round.

Party hotel

This is a party hotel. Very loud, massive open bar on the entire first floor with live music most of the day and until about 11 pm. We booked a beach front room, huge mistake. The live music was so loud we couldn’t open our patio doors without feeling we were in the middle of a concert.. We didn’t spend anytime on the balcony.
The location was great and the staff were really good, shout out to the housekeeping staff.

Rooms were great, no problem with them at all. Staff were really friendly & helpful.
Being a working pub, the noise started quite early. But, you have to expect that. Otherwise loved the place.

Poor customer service

Our travel plans were disrupted due to train strikes, travelling from cairns to Airlie beach. We have travelled from uk. We booked alternative travel via flexi bus, then they cancelled on us. We were able to get refunds on our boat trips and hotel bookings which were booked as non refundable due to circumstances out of our control, kindness goes a long way. We had booked Airlie beach hotel for one night only and they are the only ones who have refused a refund. Poor customer service, so I would not recommend an establishment who doesn’t care when your luck is down.

Nice but not great.

Nice Hotel, great location and lovely staff. But the rooms were disappointing. Stayed in the older section. Curtains were inadequate, had to put ironing board against curtains to stop light and people being able to see into the room from veranda- which everyone walks on. Bathroom is all open to the side of the room as they often are, but the blind was not enough to stop the sunlight blasting through in the morning. No sleep in in this room. No Tissues in room, no little extras such as shower caps etc... a basic motel room at best.
