I lost my swipe card that opens my door and it was easily replaced at reception i just had to show my photo id

First stay. This place is in a great spot. The staff are so friendly. Good parking. Great mini bar, breakfast and in room dining options. On the downside - the room I was in was half good and half bashed up. I find it hard to explain. For intance: lightfittings that hold two bulbs - one has it's cover, one exposed. Areas that paint touchups are everywhere. Not all lights working. Loosely hanging cords. What appeared to be a car radio installed in a beside table. All that said, the retro wall behind the mini bar is a leftover from the 70's and is spectacular! I can see they're updating. The bedding is clean, modern and appropriate. The carpet is new and fresh. The TV is smart and huge. The wall mounted reverse cycle machine is new. So I will stay again and see how they go over time.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed. Excellent location; and quiet.
The staff were pleasant and helpful, as usual.
The allocated room was on the nose so we were moved, without argument. The bed was comfortable, the TV worked, and there were the usual comforts.
The included breakfast was pleasant and sufficient. The table was clean.
Unfortunately the tariff reflects the state of repair. The Reception with its plant-wall and the lounge were stylish. We did not use the shower, the basin was stained, the tiling faulty, walls needed patching and painting, and something done with the coil of wiring. Proper cleaning and a bit of maintenance would transform the experience.

Delicious breakfast. Ample parking. Very friendly staff. Comfortable room. Great spot to stay when visiting Ballarat.
