One of our favourite places, Always book direct for best price

Came back for our 3rd stay here.
This place is quality, with quality service, wish more places like this in Australia. You get a fantastic large apartment that is equipped with quality furniture with electric black out blinds.
The kitchen has everything you will need and they provide nice extras, dishwasher gel, laundry powder, free coke, cakes, chocolates, crisps, apples etc.
Washer and dryer in room.
Everything works perfectly and is lovely and clean.
Lovely peaceful sleep, soo much soo we booked an extra night.
This our go to place in Canberra, you can teach other hotels how to run an accommodation business.

Comfortable stay

We stayed six nights in a one bedroom apartment, incredibly spacious, large kitchen enabling the opportunity to cook at home Ever so quiet and very warm, felt like a home away from home Ample underground parking was a real bonus. Around the corner from Kingston shops, a terrific area to simply stroll and enjoy The only downside is the lack of Smart TV, so no Netflix The hotel offers Foxtel and a movie channel, it’s so last century

Old England style hotel.

In the gracious quarter of Kingston, where the modern avenues of Canberra meet the quiet shimmer of Lake Burley Griffin, there stands a sanctuary that feels less like a hotel and more like a passage through time — the Knightsbridge Hotel.
For three years, as though guided by some gentle enchantment, I have returned to this place, and never once has its spell diminished. Each arrival feels akin to crossing into Avalon itself — that fabled isle of legend, where the world softens and time lingers just a moment longer.
From the very threshold, one senses that this is no ordinary dwelling. The corridors stretch with a quiet dignity, reminiscent of ancient castle halls where the echoes of noble footsteps might once have resounded. The design speaks in hushed tones of Old England — not the England of postcards, but of story and memory: of stone fortresses, candlelit chambers, and the enduring presence of something timeless.
The rooms are nothing short of regal. The beds, wide and steadfast, offer a rest worthy of a weary knight returning from quest. The furnishings are chosen with a rare devotion to detail — each piece feels intentional, as though curated not merely for comfort, but for atmosphere. Even the kitchenware carries its own quiet poetry; one learns that certain pieces have been brought from England itself, and indeed, they bear that unmistakable character. To hold them is to feel, however briefly, connected to another age. It is a simple pleasure, yet profoundly tactile and memorable.
And then, as one settles into this refined stillness, the mind begins to wander — not forward, but back. One recalls tales such as The Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley, or the enduring legends of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table. It is not difficult to imagine that beyond these walls, just out of sight, there lies a forest path leading to Camelot itself.
Yet for all its dreamlike qualities, the Knightsbridge Hotel remains firmly grounded in excellence. Its service is of the highest order — attentive, polished, and delivered with a quiet confidence that never intrudes. The location, too, is most fortunate: within easy reach of charming cafés and restaurants, the dignified Parliament House, the tranquil lake, and the nearby yacht club.
In truth, what sets Knightsbridge apart is not merely its luxury, though that is undeniable. It is the rare ability to evoke a feeling — of story, of history, of gentle escape. It is a place where one does not simply stay, but inhabits a narrative.
And so, like a loyal knight bound to a cherished realm, I find myself returning again and again — drawn not only by comfort, but by something far more enduring: the quiet magic of a place that remembers how to dream.
