Great cozy place

For the time of yer we visited it was perfect. Summer may be difficult with No air conditioning. The bed was great. Great location. Some clean cutlery in sink and only one cup but everything else was lovely

The room was clean and the service was consistent and prompt. We had to air out the room a bit when we arrived as it smelled a bit damp - but other than that everything was setup perfectly. Great work.

“Needs a Refresh and Better Transparency”

I stayed here during a high-demand weekend in Sydney, and unfortunately the experience didn’t match the price. The room was tidy but not to hotel standards, and the entire property feels overdue for a proper deep clean. The lack of air-conditioning wasn’t clearly mentioned, which was disappointing at $350 a night.
Noise was one of the biggest issues. Despite the listing mentioning soundproofing, you can hear every door opening, footsteps in the hall, and normal conversations through the walls. Privacy felt minimal.
The shared bathrooms were accurately disclosed, though with only four combined shower/toilet rooms for the entire property, they were frequently occupied. The minibar was extremely limited but priced like a luxury hotel, and the $150 security deposit felt excessive.
The contactless check-in system works, but juggling two access codes (one for the building, one for the room) isn’t ideal, especially late at night. When I realised the room had no air-conditioning, I asked to check out, but the refund process between the property and Booking.com went nowhere, so I ended up having to stay.
On the positive side, the staff were genuinely kind and tried to help where they could. With clearer listings, real soundproofing, and a full refresh, the property has potential — but right now, it doesn’t justify the price.

Great location, would stay again just for that. Otherwise place is pretty tired and not enough shared bathrooms for the number of rooms
