The room we were allocated was not what we had booked and didn’t match the photos shown when we made the reservation.
The hotel also had ongoing issues with the lifts, with only one of the two lifts operated throughout the weekend. At check in we were told to expect waits of between 5-15 minutes during busy periods.
The room itself was quite dated and in need of maintenance. The paintwork was tired, and the overall condition suggested it hasn’t been refurbished for some time.
Overall, while the location and staff were good the accommodation did not meet our expectations or reflect what was advertised. We hope the hotel invests in updating the rooms and improving maintenance, as it has the potential to offer a much better guest experience.

Unfortunately, the room is in desperate need of an upgrade and did not match the rooms pictured when booking. The bathroom had missing tiles, water-damaged cupboards, and a non-working hairdryer. The kitchenette was similar, with burn marks on the benchtop and floor, water damage inside cupboards, and doors that would not stay closed. The many laminated signs throughout the room made it feel more like a hostel than a 4-star hotel.
The wardrobe drawers were worn, the walls were heavily marked, and the bed was uncomfortable. Only two very thin pillows were provided on a king bed.
The TV would not connect for Chromecast use, and the Wi-Fi was not reliable enough to stream a show.
Check-in was disappointing. There was no explanation of the security deposit or information about the complimentary coffee machines downstairs, which I only discovered by observing other guests. Check-out was much better.
Overall, the stay was okay, but the room condition and service shortcomings outweighed the positives. I'm giving 3 stars because it met basic expectations, but I wouldn't book this hotel again and I am glad i got my room on sale and didn't pay full price.

Staff were friendly. Room ready early which was much appreciated.
Complimentary toiletries had to be collected from reception which wasn’t mentioned at check in.
