Biggest Scam Hotel AVOID AT ALL COSTS
This hotel is nothing short of a complete scam. The photos advertised online bear absolutely no resemblance to reality. It feels like the images were AI-generated or heavily edited to deceive guests into booking. Do yourself a favour and avoid this place at all costs.
The first thing you’ll notice is the construction site directly outside the hotel. Work starts as early as 7am every morning, making it impossible to get a decent night’s sleep. Instead of the relaxing views advertised, you’re greeted by a depressing construction zone from your balcony that completely ruins the experience.
The hygiene standards are absolutely shocking. The hotel is filthy from top to bottom, and I genuinely question the cleanliness of the kitchen. Anyone eating breakfast here should be prepared for stomach problems. To make matters worse, breakfast is only served from 7am to 9am, which is laughable for a supposed 4-star hotel. In reality, this place wouldn’t even deserve 1 star.
The so-called “Infinity Pool” is one of the biggest disappointments. During our entire 4-day stay it was never even properly filled. The pool was tiny, dirty, and only around three-quarters full. The surrounding area was equally disgusting, with dirty flooring, filthy sun loungers, and zero sign of maintenance. The promotional photos are completely misleading.
Our room was no better. The balcony was dirty, the bathroom tiles were chipped, scratched, and damaged, and basic necessities were lacking. The hotel only provides a single toilet roll, forcing guests to repeatedly call reception for more. Even more unbelievably, our bed sheets were not changed once during our entire 4-day stay.
This was by far one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. Poor hygiene, misleading advertising, constant noise, terrible maintenance, and a complete lack of basic hospitality. Save your money, save your holiday, and book literally anywhere else.

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL
Our experience at Cloud Chaser Hotel Sapa was extremely disappointing and honestly one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve had while travelling Vietnam.
Immediately upon arrival we noticed something felt off. The hotel name wasn’t even displayed properly as “Cloud Chaser Hotel” and instead everything from the towels, soaps, colour schemes and branding all said “Emerald Hotel.” For the price we paid, this instantly raised red flags for us and made the whole place feel misleading. It almost felt like a name change was being used to hide previous bad reviews.
The lobby itself already looked old and run down which immediately killed the excitement. What shocked us even more was that we paid around the same price as Hotel de la Coupole - MGallery, which is on a completely different level in terms of quality and service. We genuinely could not believe these hotels were priced similarly.
The online photos are incredibly deceptive. In reality, the hotel looks nothing like the images advertised. The pool is tiny, the rooms feel poorly maintained, and there is basically no soundproofing at all. Even on a higher floor we could clearly hear loud construction noise.
The room itself was unacceptable. There were cracks in the walls, dirty carpets, dirty curtains, stains and what looked like mould in several areas. We even found rubbish already inside the bins before we had used the room. The bathroom setup was also terrible with no proper shower arrangement or place to put toiletries, just a bathtub with extremely low water pressure.
The lack of privacy and overall cleanliness made us so uncomfortable that after only five minutes in the room we packed all our belongings and decided to leave immediately, despite already being exhausted from a long day of travel.
Trying to get a refund became another stressful ordeal. Staff made the process extremely difficult and we spent over an hour tired and frustrated arguing back and forth instead of simply being helped professionally. Management eventually arrived and instead of properly addressing the situation, they attempted to offer discounted massages as compensation which honestly felt insulting considering the condition of the hotel.
After a long discussion we finally received written confirmation that we would receive a full refund, but the entire situation should never have happened in the first place.
Overall this hotel felt like a complete rip off. There are far better accommodation options in Sapa for the same price or less. Do not let the online photos deceive you.
