Excellent Hotel

Lovely hotel - so helpful hosts - Rosie couldn’t have been more helpful. Thanks. Rooms sparkling clean; flowers in the room, juice and milk in fridge in reception. Great stay

Lovely property

This is a really lovely old house right in the heart of Arundel, with just five rooms. We were made incredibly welcome by Rosie, whose warmth and friendliness made us feel very at home. We had the place to ourselves the night we stayed, and really enjoyed the run of the downstairs communal area with complementary tea and coffee and an honesty bar (or use of the fridge for your own). The bedrooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable, all differently decorated and furnished in a classic but modern style. We particularly liked the small but brilliant touch of a small thermal flask for fresh milk for a cup of tea!

A Welcoming Stay in Arundel

We stayed for one night in The Duke room at House Arundel last week. Even before we arrived, we felt welcomed through the communication with Rosie and James. Rosie welcomed us when we arrived and pointed out amenities in the lounge and showed us around our room. Everything was as pictured on the website and the lounge area was a quiet place to sit and relax before dinner. We'll have to return on a Friday or Saturday when they do cocktails and wine! (Note that they do have an honor bar with a selection of wine and beer.) I think the thing that I appreciated the most was the attention to detail that turns a good stay into a great stay. From the motion-sensor nightlight in the bathroom and extension cord on the hairdryer to the biscuits with the coffee/tea supplies and more, you could tell that a lot of thought and care was put into every aspect of the experience. We look forward to staying again on our next visit to Arundel!

House Arundel - a brilliant small hotel

The hotel is situated very close to the Arun river bridge but in the High St. so really close to everything in this interesting historic and environmentally-concerned small town. We walk or use public transport so the hotel's position is ideal (10 mins. walk from the train station). The hotel is situated in an interesting old (18th century?) town house which has been sensitively and practically converted inside, to provide lovely rooms and very practical shared spaces for guests. The provision of a self-serve bar as well as chilled water, fruit and tea and coffee was very welcome, along with the fan in our room (we stayed during a heatwave). The breakfast voucher scheme was also great, One cafe next door and another 100m away produced a big range of fresh cooked breakfasts and pastries. We tried both cafes and they were interestingly complementary.. The owners were very attentive, and though not always on site were available at the end of a phone or email..

Amazing Stay

From the moment we arrived Rosie was very welcoming. The B&B is lovely and beautifully presented. The room was great with everything we needed. The honesty bar was brilliant and we loved the carafes of water and fresh milk for the morning's cup of tea.
