A Great Base for Exploring Ayr

We had a fantastic stay at the Savoy 5 with my 7 year old. The room was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for a relaxing break.
The location is excellent – just a few minutes’ walk into the town centre and down to the beach. The beach play park is brilliant and kept my daughter entertained for ages, and if you enjoy arcades, there’s a great one nearby too. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance, although we also ate in the on-site restaurant, which was lovely. Just be aware that it’s only open Wednesday to Sunday.
The stay was excellent value for money, especially as breakfast is included. There was plenty of choice, including cereal, toast, yogurts or a full cooked breakfast. We never had any problems finding a parking space, although I imagine it could get quite busy later in the evening.
There are also lots of great days out within a short drive. I’d highly recommend Heads of Ayr Farm Park and New Cumnock Outdoor Swimming Pool if you’re visiting with children.
Overall, this was a great base for exploring Ayr and the surrounding area, particularly for families. We’d happily stay here again.

A Savoy of an Experience!

I booked this for a weekend away and I was not disappointed. Excellent location, parking available too! From start to finish it was great, friendly and welcoming staff, owners very friendly too and it took them 2yrs to overhaul it to the standard they wanted and well worth it! Although most of the interiors are mostly white painted, which has its advantages and disadvantages, one being you notice every mark, therefore touch-ups required here and there as well as in the rooms! All rooms modern, well laid out and comfortable! Good choice of food in the restaurant, offering both Thai and Scottish fayre. Couple of points the TV's mainly use apps therefore it can be frustrating for those that lack the know how of getting the live channels etc. Breakfast thoroughly enjoyable, although some fresh fruit option would help! All in all well worth a visit even just for the food!

A perfect hotel!

Perfect location, spotless, calm atmosphere, brilliant value for money, quiet area. 5 star Michelin style breakfast. The manager Jeff was outstanding, so friendly and attentive, professional too, I would definitely return to this lovely hotel.

Lovely stay

Had a lovely 2 night stay here, we had a double room which was spotless, shower room was superb and we had tea/coffee/biscuits included, ceiling fan was a godsend. Breakfast was lovely as was dining area. Nice location, quiet area and nice beer garden to sit and enjoy a drink and parking on site, wouldn’t hesitate to book again if heading down to Ayr.

Fab wee B&B. Great, quiet location in Ayr and few minutes walk to seafront or town centre. Rooms spotless and super modern and comfortable. Great range for breakfast from authentic Scottish fry up and also healthy options. Staff and owners very friendly and welcoming. A great stay and will stay again.
