Avoid at all costs
He had booked this hotel while attending a family funeral, so it was already a difficult and emotional time. There was absolutely no mention on the website that the accommodation required climbing around 20 stairs to reach the first floor. For an elderly gentleman with limited mobility, this was a major issue. It took him a considerable amount of time to reach his room, having to stop every few steps to catch his breath. Had this been made clear when booking, we would have chosen somewhere more suitable.
The room itself was extremely disappointing. It was advertised as a “Deluxe Room”, which couldn’t have been further from the truth. In fact, I had to look up the word deluxe afterwards because what we were presented with certainly didn’t fit the definition.
To make matters worse, neither the kettle nor the fan worked. On one of the hottest evenings of the year, having no working fan made the room unbearably uncomfortable. The bed was also exceptionally soft and lumpy, meaning my father-in-law barely slept.
I attempted to contact Jake and Holly using the number displayed in the hallway at around 6pm. I called each of them three times and left voicemail messages, yet neither had the courtesy to return my call or even acknowledge my concerns. That level of customer service is simply unacceptable.
Overall, this is genuinely one of the worst hotel rooms I have ever encountered. The lack of accessibility information, poor maintenance, misleading room description and complete absence of customer support turned what was already a difficult visit for a funeral into an even more upsetting experience. It had a real impact on my father-in-law’s wellbeing and mental health during an already emotional time.
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, particularly elderly guests or anyone with mobility issues.

Little Sink
The service is second to none, I found the staff to be efficient, friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
