We are disappointed to read this review, as these comments are false and do not reflect the experience reported during your stay.
At no point during your week-long stay did you raise any concerns regarding cleanliness, parking, or staff assistance with either management or reception. Had any issues been brought to our attention at the time, we would have done our best to resolve them immediately.
You were informed before booking that we do not provide breakfast, therefore the comments regarding this are misleading. In addition, when Mandy’s brother contacted us prior to the booking, he was clearly advised that parking at the hotel is chargeable, or alternatively that free on-street parking may be available nearby.
Mandy and her party were also made fully aware from the first day that I was not always on site. Contact numbers and the Ring doorbell system were provided should they need to contact me at any time during their stay.
We also find it difficult to understand why you chose to remain for the entirety of your stay if the hotel was as unacceptable as described.
We take pride in our hotel and in providing a comfortable stay for our guests, and we feel this review is unfair, inaccurate, and intentionally damaging.

Disgusting behaviour

AVOID BOOKING THIS ...had the same experience as the other review...paid on booking.com and then the day before my booking got a what's app saying I would have to pay again as they were blocked from booking.com
Terrible attitude through what's app with no concern for customer service and no intention of trying to resolve issue.
Don't give them your money they are a disgrace to the hospitality industry.

Paid twice for the same room! Quite hard to get a refund out of them!

I booked a room via Booking.com for the 1st November til the 2nd November at the Ashley Victoria Guest House, 17-19 Alexandra Road, Blackpool, FY1 6BU. I paid for the booking on the 24th October via Booking.com , the payment was accepted and I arrived at the property 11:30am on the 1st November.
Once I was at the reception, I was informed that the hotel owner wasn’t accepting Booking.com payments due to an issue with accessing the account. I was advised that I needed to pay for the room again via bank transfer or cash and ask for a refund via Booking.com. I was given an ultimatum to either pay again or find alternative accommodation. This put me in an awkward and uncomfortable situation, I had a child with me who was looking forward to his stay to watch a football match and no time to seek out other accommodation options suitable for our needs. I paid the accommodation fee again under the account of Hassan Elshamy (The Hotel Owner) and was ensured there was no further charge of car parking or anything else, he will support my refund via Booking.com. I had no prior knowledge of this situation and to be honest it put me in a stressful position. We had plans before the game which we had by then missed due to trying to resolve this situation via Booking.com.
Since the 2nd of November until today (26th November) I had been trying to get a refund for my stay 1st November. I paid once online, and again when I reached the property due to the owner not being able to access their Booking.com account. I had contacted Booking.com 25 times via phonecalls and sent 15 emails with proof of all the transactions. I contacted the Hotel directly and they stated I’m due a refund but up until today, I had received nothing.
I resorted to contacting the owner Hassan, the owner’s representative Sue and his ex partner Caroline all via phone and WhatsApp. Each one gave me the runaround, I eventually put them all in a group chat but Caroline instantly removed herself.
According to each of the individuals involved: Hassan and Caroline are dissolving their business (possibly marital) arrangements, Caroline has access to the business accounts and has withheld money accrued from Booking.com. Hassan is now charging people the fee again at the reception and asking people to go through Booking.com for refunds. Both individuals are blaming each other for withholding funds from one another and from their businesses. It’s a complicated and difficult situation where the customer has been brought into all this mess…
This isn’t a slandering post, a venting post nor is it a Karen-post. It’s a post to show others what crap I’ve had to deal with and that people need to be aware of it all. Booking.com and hot
